Living in Scotland , don't need many pairs of white trousers , however these were too good to pass up. Great fit , excellent value for money in sale. Haven't worn them yet , so review based on appearance only.

Having bought two other pairs of white trousers - one 7/8 and one straight leg- last Summer- I am delighted that these have pockets and a side zip- thus allowing an inch or so leeway- A side zip and no pockets are great if you havn't eaten for years or your twelve - Thank You M&S

These are great trousers but they are cut on the small side. I am a stock size 8 and M&S trousers usually fit me well, but these are tight around the bottom and waist.

These were just too small

I bought these jeans and the roma rise ones at the same time. I had to return the roma rise ones because they were too large and these were too small. I am always a size 8 in M & S jeans, very occasionally slightly big but these were way too small so had to be returned. Sizing across different styles does not seem consistent at all.

These trousers would be fine on someone with a small waist and larger hips. I'm more straight up and down with slim hips and larger waist so they didn't fit. I thought the navy pair looked a bit too shiny and didn't like the slippery fabric but they would be good value in the sale.

The fit was perfect on me and because I am only 5 foot 2, the length was just on the ankle which means they will be good in the autumn. A smart/casual pair of trousers that I would recommend.

Limited choice and terrible fabrics

I already had a pair of these trousers in white and just wanted a different colour. The size choice in short length was again very limited so I had to order them into the store. Apart from that I was very disappointed with shopping in M&S. More and more of the clothes are made from manmade fibres. This is not comfortable for me neither for my housebound mother as we both tend to perspire. We were very dissatisfied with the Classic range. I live abroad and have little time for shopping so have always started and sometimes finished with M&S but do not know whether I want to continue with that after my disappointment this time.

I love this style and ordered them in black and white. There is nothing I don't like about them, but I didn't keep them as I'd also ordered a slightly different style which I also love and was a bit cheaper.

Nice colour but more caramel than stone. Trousers came up very small. Bought a size bigger than usual which were a bit big but normal size tight on thighs and backside. Last years similar trousers fit perfectly in my normal size.

I have bought 4 pairs - 2 in navy and 2 in black so that when the 1st pairs wear out I have a replacement. They really are that good! A perfect fit. They are smart enough to wear to work but casual enough to wear with pumps or flip flops. I am 5ft6" tall and the 8 R fits perfectly. They are the best fitting and best value trousers I have bought for a long time. I have recommended them to my friends. Well done M&S.
