Until my daughter, Mae, is old enough to say ‘no’, I will continue to dress her in the things that I’d like to wear but which would horrify my husband. This patent-green mac is a case in point and I’m jealous every time Mae wears it. Children’s fashion should be fun, it should get dirty and it should keep them comfortable, whatever the weather; this raincoat combines all those elements. It’s as perfect for posh afternoon tea at London’s Sanderson hotel (not that I’ve ever done that with Mae, but one can dream) as it is for splashing in muddy puddles. Ultimately, as a parent, you never really know where the day will end, but having a mac that works hard (wipe-clean – yay!) and plays harder is a good start.
