Amalfi Print Maxi Beach Dress with StayNEW™

It was the pattern rather than the dress that I attracted me. It's a typical beach dress with elasticated sheering over bust in lightweight fabric - but I won't describe it as cute; surely M&S could have come up with a better description than that!!. Like others I have removed the front tie and put in elastic - not sure why M&S went with the tie as it is untidy and when damp it will be the devil to tie - I plan to pop this dress on over a swimsuit after swimming. I have put in side slits at the hemline - making it much easier to walk in and I might change the halter neck to two straps. I hope that the fabric lives up to its claim of a reduction in bobbling and colour loss as the fabric must be the only reason for its price tag

Bought this to wear on a recent holiday, hardly creased whilst in suitcase so was able to wear on the first morning. Great dress for just throwing on with your bikini underneath.

I already have a dress more or less identical to this one but in different colours. Took it to Cyprus a couple of weeks back, came out of the case uncreased and was worn a lot during the day. Also washed it and didn't need to iron. Perfect, will now have another to alternative with for our upcoming trip to Gran Canaria in Augus.

Had to return and reordered larger size which fits across the bust much better. Opposite to what I had to do with matching swimsuit. Which is a bit frustrating.

Great print, especially as it matches the tankini. Bought usual size (16 short), expecting to shorten it, as I am only 5ft. However, I didn't expect to shorten it by 7cm! Disliked halter tie strap, so also changed that to two 'ordinary' straps. Now looks ok!

Although I am very pleased with this maxi dress I have found it a tad too maxi. I ordered long in dress length and even though I am tall it is very long- way passed my feet long. Also I could have easily gone a size down from normal as it seems somewhat big. Saying that it is comfortable and looks good.

Really pleased with this maxi dress-can be used as a swimwear cover-up or dressed up with strappy sandals for an evening out-love the matching swimwear too. Essential item for holidays.

I want light, non- revealing maxi dresses to wear. This fabric, the pattern, and color a monochrome mix, perfect for wearing without thought to covering underwear. Careful people! I want to be cool and decent, Indigo has legs but be careful with excessive patterns.

I think I am the wrong shape for this dress, I had hoped to be able to wear it without a bra but it looked awful. It was also far too long but I am only 5'2" - unwise purchase - I returned it.

I love natural fibres so the obviously synthetic feel let this dress down for me. I liked the pattern and the style was nice if worn strapless. However, I will be returning it because of the synthetic feel of the fabric.

Very pleased, will be ideal for either the beach or an evening on holiday. Good quality.

finally found a maxi dress that fits im 5'1, size 8 with a tummy. lovely quality material, comfortable, very pleased.

Ordered this in the shorter length, (I'm 5"2), while on offer and so pleased with it, perfect length and looks lovely on, look forward to wearing in the summer
