quality is good but elasticated top is really tight fit on the skinny thighs of my 93 year old sister-in-law. A softer elasticated top would be more comfortable - thighs are normally 'thicker' or fatter than top of calf measurement.

I bought these for my 7 year old granddaughter, who is tal for her age and she loves them. She hates wearing tights in winter, so I thought these were at warmer than other socks. Her friends at school love them and told her they are "cool". Excellent quality and look really smart on.

My daughther is a very tall 11 year old, and hates wearing school tights due to the constant pulling up, as they are always too short, but these are great alternative to white school socks. The only negative is they too are not quite long enough, and although they are over the knee, it would be lovely if they were much further up the thigh to give that little bit extra warmth / comfort.

My daughter has just started at secondary school - she hates wearing tights so these are ideal for her. The feet fit well, they are VERY long, coming well up her thighs… so that’s how she wears them - they’re plain and smooth like tights and with her skirt it looks like she is wearing uniform black opaque tights. They stay up well too, with minimal slipping, she says really comfy. I’m not too keen on the ‘gap’ that can appear when she sits but that doesn’t bother her. She loves them, no persuading her to wear tights now!

Great socks, bought some for one of my daughters and she wears them every day. Three months later my other daughter borrowed a pair from her sister and she's now completely hooked. Neither will wear any other socks on their feet! Great for comfort, perfect for wearing under trousers in winter, they stay up 24/7 and don't slide down, brilliant wash and wear and they keep their shape well.

Bought 4 packs of 2 - over the knee navy socks for my 11 year old daughter for school. She doesn't like tights, so these are ideal, now that the weather is getting colder. She loves them. Just getting round to the first wash. Seem to be good quality. Usually find M&S socks wash well, so these should too.
