Notch Lapel 1 Button Blazer

First thing I noticed was that the pocket flaps were curling up at the corners. This is usually because the facing is too big and even though the machinist had made a valiant effort to "roll" it before top stitching them there was just too much lining. Sleeve linings about 1.5" too long and hanging down below cuff. Worst of all, the collar at the back was over an inch too shallow and did not fold down enough to cover the collar band. Linings too big? Collar too narrow? Patterns and QC need to be reviewed. I'm a great fan of M&S but their manufacturer has let them down here. Would have love to have kept it but could not accept obvious faults and returned it. Bought great little checked jacket instead. It's 5 star!

I have been looking for a blazer or jacket to wear, which could hopefully smarten up everday clothes a little but perhaps also cross over and be suitable for an interview, depending on if I was wearing it with slack etc ie a classic blazer. Thiis one is well made but just did not fit the bill. It is hard to define. Again it is designed against someone with a larger bust so for someone with an A or B fitting you would have to close the button or the jacket would rumple at the front. And the tailoring is very manly, with three buttons at the writst etc and flap pocket. So I decided in the end that was what I didnt like - it has a hint of man's suit about it. So even at this fab price I am sending it back. Disappointing. And most of the other M+S jackets on sale are more suitable as part of a wedding outfit. not for everyday wear !

I needed a blazer to team with jeans for travel.... this fits the bill nicely! I agree with another review as regards colour, the black option is really a very dark navy,and just what I wanted! IMO the navy option is really too insignificant and diminishes the style of this blazer. Good fit, smart but relaxed enough to wear with jeans.

When I first saw this jacket earlier in the year I just knew it was 'me'. What a silly girl went home to think about it; returned 3 days later and it was sold out!! Been waiting ever since! Ordered it on the NET, picked it up, got it home, fitted perfectly! Humph! The lining on the left sleeve shows well below the cuff - its going back! Just hope my reorder is in for Tuesday; I'm going to the theatre Wednesday and want to wear it!

Despite everyone giving this jacket very good reviews, the material feels lovely, but I'm afraid it appears to crush really easily. Also I think it would look better with two front buttons - on me anyway. Unfortunately I have had to return it.

Hotfooted my way to the store after reading the rave reviews and I wasn't disappointed with the style and fit. However the black jacket is a very dark navy and when it is worn with true black trousers the colour difference is very noticeable. Still, I recommend the garment.

Superb buy. I wanted this jacket earlier in the summer but my size had sold out. Absolutely delighted when I saw it back in stock, and even more delighted when I received it. Fantastic quality, perfect fit, great value for money. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a 'go anywhere' blazer. Can be worn any time of the year.

This was my second choice of jacket.because it had sold out. When I returned the first one, which was a bit cheaper but I did 'nt like the material, I found this hanging on the rail, I could'nt believe my eyes so, I tried it ,loved it and bought it. The quality was lovely, the fit , length of jacket and sleeve was perfect, altho' I may have to have the sleeve lining shortened a little bit.. I love jackets, always have they can take you anywhere. I usually buy black, but this time I went for navy. I am well pleased. Thank you.K

I purchased this blazer on line after seeing it advertised. However, it wasn't for me, I wasn't sure that I liked the fit or the material so because it was over £50 I decided to return it.

As soon as I saw this advertised I knew I had to have it. Bought the Jacket in Navy size 12 & its a great fit & looks good with jeans and can be worn for the smarter option with a skirt or trousers.

Been looking for a navy jacket for a few weeks now and nothing fitted the bill until I saw this one online, fitted the bill perfectly, so chuffed with it, thanks m and s.

Slightly thicker and heavier than I expected but a very nice jacket, feels good quality and comfortable to wear.

Lovely blazer but just too big. I've always been a size 8, but sadly all M&S sizes now are generous and so I've had to send it back. Had it been possible to have re-ordered it in a 6 I would have done so. Fortunatel to have found one from another high street shop. Interestingly I was able to buy in a size 8 (true to size), but it is continental.
