Useless
No, I don't recommend this
I tried to chop onions. Some parts are left big and got stuck in the blades. It struggles to chop the hardest parts of onions. It is useless. I would return it but sadly I have lost the receipt. £15 gone to the bin!!!

Struggled to chop even the smallest of vegetables. Once the veg was chopped a little chunks just got stuck in the gaps between the blades.

Not that easy to clean

It chops OK but quite a lot of small bits get behind the shield and the blade. I tried an onion, a pepper, an apple, mushrooms and herbs. All of these managed to get behind the blade. I spent more time cleaning it than I saved in the chopping. Will be returning it.

Excellent Small Chopper
Yes, I recommend this
This product is excellent as cutting up small vegetables. I cut up a large onion into slices and it chopped it really small. This is much better than the alligator which I had previously. Would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent Purchase

My family are not very adventurous with meals but occasionally I find recipes I know my family will like. These recipes invariably require herbs or small vegetables to be chopped. This small manual Chopper is ideal, does the job very well. When chopping onions and other slightly larger herbs and veg. you do need to cut in half or quarters, this is understandable due to size of the Chopper. This Chopper is an excellent kitchen aid and would not be without it.

Worked for me
Yes, I recommend this
I was given one of these as a gift for Christmas, when I then came and read the reviews I was a tad disappointed. However, I used it for the first time last night and thought it was great. Ok, I only chopped, one, quite small onion, but it did the job great. There was one piece of the outermost skin that didn't get chopped - seems the blades didn't quite go deep enough but maybe I wasn't hitting it hard enough. What it did chop was a nice size, it took no time at all and was simple and easy to clean -just took it apart and rinsed it under the tap. I'd have no problem recommending this product, worked fine for me.

ok but not great

Works ok with soft items and with just a few its in. It will only work on a onion if you have just 1/4 of a onion in, anymore and it just blocks up and by the time you have unblocked it and few times you might as well of cut the onion on a chopping board!

I does not chop, Bits of food get stuck in the mechinism and it is hard to take appart to wash and harder to put back together again. Give me a good sharp knife anyday

not a good purchase

Am very disappointed with this gadget. Part of the problem is, I think, that the cutting blades are not sharp enough. I tried chopping an onion and it tore rather than chopped it -and that was after a lot of effort. Cleaning the blades afterwards is extremely difficult.. I should really return it but have thrown the packaging away. I am back to using an oldfashioned knife!

It chops vegetables unevenly so that pieces are either slivers or chunks. Not what I wanted at all so am returning it today.

Stainless steel chopper

I bought this mechanical chopper rather than the electric one as I needed to control the size of chunks of vegetables etc and have found the electric ones turn them into puree. This chopper is much better for that so long as you don't mind irregular sized chunks. It's not so good on smaller things like peanuts (which I chop for the birds) and requires a fair amount of chopping to get them cut up. Cleaning was a bit of a puzzle, the instructions could have been clearer, they only told you to study it's assembly before taking it apart and told you to remove the blade, which you actually do not do. Once you've got your partner to work it out, however, everything is fine. It's a very good quality product and I've already used it a lot.
