This gorgeous grey-green olive tree is presented in a keepsake hessian bag, brightening up your patio. Colours may vary slightly throughout the season.
Stand the plant outdoors in a sunny or lightly-shaded position, such as on a patio, near a wall, or under an open porch. Shelter from strong or cold winds, very heavy rain and frosts. In winter it is best moved into a more protected position, such as a cool greenhouse, conservatory or porch. This plant can be kept in its existing pot, or replanted into a larger patio planter. If replanting, ensure that the compost and pot drain freely. The compost should never be allowed to dry out completely but, equally do not allow the tree to become waterlogged. Raising the pot or planter above the ground slightly will help it to drain freely. Add some plant food to the water occasionally between late spring and early autumn to keep the plant in optimum condition. During hot spells, more frequent watering may be needed and this is best done in the morning or evening. Reduce watering in cold weather and do not allow the pot to freeze.

Although the olive tree was said to be about 110cm in height the actual tree was only 70cm in height. 40cm was the root section which is buried in the ground! It is very puny with a small head although it looks healthy. You can buy the same thing in Homebase for £15. The extra £23 is a lot to spend on a jute bag!!!

This was a gift and the recipient sent me a photo when she had received it. Delighted to say it was a lovely healthy tree and the courier took great trouble to deliver it carefully and set it down in the house for her. This is the second Olive Tree I have bought over the years and happy with both.

It was a little smaller than I had thought ,also it had been pruned lop sided ,if the store had sold it I would have taken it back to change go another olive tree ,it had looked like a child had pruned it ,but my brother & his wife were happy with their gift ,usually marks & soencers get it right .

Infested with scale insect
No, I don't recommend this
We bought this olive tree and soon noticed that it was infested with scale insect, which is apparently common when buying from commercial nurseries. We've been told the problem is almost impossible to treat. We are doing our best to save the tree, but are not having much luck so far. We now wish we had bought our olive tree from a smaller, independent nursery where scale insect is far less common.

Fortunately it was very well packed so all was well when I opened the box, it's a lovely little tree but as yet I have kept it inside in a cool room as the weather has been so windy and cold and on the instruction sheet it did advise to keep away from strong winds. I look forward to this lovely little tree gracing my porch in the Spring.
