I ordered these online for my daughter and her friend. They started to look shabby after 2 weeks of wear. The sole is way too thin and the heel wore through in a matter of 5 weeks. I can't believe m&s are still selling these as there is obviously a problem with the design and materials. DO NOT BUY THESE. you will be disappointed!

If you have slim feet the shoe tends to gape around the back and doesn't fit properly. Also heel area not very supportive. Overall poor quality.

I have purchased school shoes from marks and spencers before and have been really pleased with the products but I am regretting this purchase as the shoe has only been worn for a couple of weeks and now looks shabby and that they wont last the winter. The sole is too thin and I can foresee them having to be replaced much sooner than is to be expected with a school shoe. Overall a disappointing purchase

Bought these for my daughter for her start at secondary school as wanted something well made and comfortable, unfortunately they had worn heels down to the sole in a matter of weeks,it is not normal wear and tear! I think there is a fault with them and should be looked at by suppliers as are not fit for sale,I managed to get refund on them but was very disappointed for marks and spencers I've always believed in their quality,I would reconsider what I buy in the future when it comes to footwear...

Bought 2 pairs of these shoes for my daughters . Had to return both pairs after just 1 month as the heels had completely worn down . Was told this was " general wear and tear " before they reluctantly gave us a credit note .

Very Disapointing

I normally buy my kids school shoes from Clarks, but my daughter couldn't find any she liked in Clarks & chose these instead - worst school shoes ever - after a fortnight the heels were worn right down - front scruffy & old looking - she doesn't walk to or from school so they have had very little wear - cannot find receipt so not sure if I can return them but I am going to have to purchase her new shoes this weekend - very disapointed M&S.

WARNING DO NOT BUY

This is the worst pair of school shoes I every bought. My 11 year old daughter is not heavy footed and these shoes have barely made it four weeks. The rivet has fallen off the heel has worn so low, the only thing they are fit for is the bin and we haven't even made half term. Poor quality M&S not what Id expect back, to the better quality brands for schools shoes buyer beware. Do not waste your money even if your daughter likes the style

Not suitable for school

I bought these for my daughter when she started high school. She walks to school every day - alomst a mile each way. Within 2 weeks the heels had gone!! I've now spent £16 to have them reheeled. Thinking now I should have taken them back. These are not suitable school shoes for kids that walk to school!!

Like other reviews these really are poor quality. I purchased them in early summer, however my daughter wore them for two days in July and every school day since going to Secondary school this month - a total of 11 days and the HEEL IS VERY VERY WORN, THE SOLE TOO. I am so angry and now will try to contact M&S to return them. The design and fit is good. Please anyone else do not waste your money on them.

Looked at my daughter's shoes this morning after 7 days usage and couldn't believe how the heel is worn right down already. I don't think they are "fit for purpose". You would expect school shoes to be hard wearing and not like this after a few wears. She had the Clarks ones last term and they lasted much better. I would never buy shoes from here again.

Schools restarted 13 August, 14 school days later and the soles and heels are worn. The heel in particular is extremely worn. I understand that certain styles of shoes require a limited thickness of soles etc but surely there are higher spec raw materials out there M&S? Very unhappy. Think carefully before purchasing future consumers!

Bought these shoes for my daughter for school. She has had shoes of same style which have lasted well (not from M&S) but the soles of these shoes are of extremely poor quality. After 2 weeks the heel had completely worn down in level with the sole. Very disappointed stay well clear.

bought for school for my daughter, hoped they would last a least 4 to 5 months, but only lasted 4 DAYS!!. Nice leather ,but the heel was half way worn out after the 4 days.My daughter is only a slender build so can't understand why they haven't lasted longer. Try some where else for this style shoe.

NOT THE BEST!

I've had M&S school shoes in the past and been very happy with them - unlike some of the more expensive brands they don't scuff after the first few days. However, these haven't even lasted two months - they scuffed within days and the heels have worn away. Definately wouldn't recommend these unless they change the manufacturers

This is the first pair of school shoes I bought for my daughter from M&S, normally I have my daughter's feet measured and invest in a solid pair of school shoes. I bought these shoes because of the budget price and style, fortunately they were cheap but regrettably so was the quality. The heels wore down after 3 weeks. I regretted buying these shoes which was a false economy, the only reason I did not return them is because I could not find the receipt!
