Laska Floor Cabinet
Yes, I recommend this
Nice looking unit once fitted together and good quality from Marks, considering the cheap versions out there. However, predominately Wood ???... Its seems like expensive plastic. Only the drawers were wooden and then they weren't painted.. I ordered it thinking it was wood.

I am sooo delighted with the units I ordered - they are exactly what I needed to complete the refurbishment of my bathroom. Also congratulations to m & s for their efficiency and low delivery cost, well done!

Not good!
No, I don't recommend this
Bought from local store. Have assembled flat pack previously, so when opened we were impressed by the organisation of all the small packages containing screws etc. BUT when came to put together some of the screws tightening the dowels would not tighten.......!! We also found sides were warped. Not good value for money and will be taking back to store tomorrow and will NOT obtain a replacement.

Nice unit, looks good in bathroom! However feel for the overall quality that the price could be a lot less

assembly instructions
Yes, I recommend this
We are very pleased with this cabinet, now that it is assembled, but the amount of time taken was more than twice that stated in the instructions, and the drawings were not always as helpful as they might have been. This is not the first assembly job we have taken on, but certainly proved to be the most elaborate.

Assembly instructions were very clear
Yes, I recommend this
I was pleased to be able to assemble this myself, the only help I needed was to fix the door and level it correctly. As I am a 70 year old woman I felt this was quite an achievement. The quality and finish of the cupboard is excellent and doesn't give the appearance that it was assembled from a flatpack. It is of extremely good quality and enhances the appearance of my new shower room.

good but could be better
Yes, I recommend this
a good little cabinet, takes more than an hour to make, good instructions all parts in little bags with letters on for easy use, the back is a bit poor cheap hardboard lets it down a bit.

Very well made
Yes, I recommend this
For a self-assembly cabinet this was very well made. Joints all well costructed and screwed togethether with 'proper' screws and the draw in particular was etremely well made with no glue, but all screws. Only minor point was the positon of the cupboard door hinge screw holes was not marked and some engineering judgement had to be made to ensure door hung correcly. Overal, should give a long life without falling appart!

Poor quality from M&S
No, I don't recommend this
Quality of finish and construction is poor, there is alot to learn from Ikea for construction and finish. Bourght this product to push against the Tall Boy but as the top hangs over the side it leaves a gap. Definately not value for money, I would be embarrassed to recommend this product and will not be purchasing any flat pack furniture from M & S in the future. Style is good but it just shouts poor quality and looks cheap. A bit late to send back when you have to put it together to see what it looks like.

The laksa cupboard is lovely when it is constructed but it is not easy. The photocopied instructions were of very poor quality and not what I would expect from M&S

Does what it says on the tin ...
Yes, I recommend this
looks like the picture - easy to put together - seems fairly sturdy - back panel & drawer bottom made from very flimsy material, it could be made thicker but it does the job. Only downside is the print quality of the instructions was so poor that I couldn't read it and had to rely on the pictures.

I wasn't a registered M&S site user until I read the review below stating hubby 'put it together in 15 minutes'. As MD of a property maintenance company, I urge him to get in touch with me. Looks nice and reasonable quality but it will take +1hr to put together factoring in getting it out, reading the instructions and assembly. So 15 minute hubby, please do contact me: we need more staff with your capabilities.

Good product. Flawed instuctions
Yes, I recommend this
Correct assembly of the cabinet owed far more to the skill of my husband in scrutinising the pictures and logic. The text was virtually illegible, as noted by other reviewers. The reviewer who quoted 15 mins for assembly ought to set up in business as a flat pack assembler. One hour is more realistic. The small parts are well labelled, which helps. There was small split in one side of the drawer where a screw was holding the side rail. This did not affect the stability of the drawer, but nevertheless, quality control should hve picked it up. The assembled cabinet is solid and looks as though it will be durable.
