For some reason all the other m&s girls trousers seem to be low waisted and don't always cover pants at the back. We've tried a couple of other style and my daughter found them so uncomfy she refused to wear them. These are just the ticket - not low rise, no buttons or zips to fiddle with and lovely soft thick cosy material. I'm buying now in the next size up. Only comment is they do come up longer than others of same size, had to take up an inch, but overall really love them.

Lovely warm cotton/jersey stretch trousers which my daughter finds really comfy for school. She sometimes struggles with trousers fitting big enough on the bottom but these are great and really warm for winter. They did come up slightly big this year (she is in size 8-9 having just turned 9 and is slightly taller than average) but that is the only thing I can fault really.

My daughter is delighted with these - she is a fussy one and hates zips, buttons, tights and the like. These are the only trousers that she is prepared to wear and she finds them so cosy and comfortable in the cold weather.

I have tried a LOT of different school trousers for my 6 year old daughter and really struggled to find any that were comfortable and that fitted at the waist without falling down every time she sat cross legged at school. These are great they are lovely and soft and the waistband I stretchy and sits nicely at the waist. My daughter loves them,

These trousers were really good quality, the only issue is they were about 7 inches too long!! I rolled the waist over to fit better, but I had to fold it 5 times before the length was right! and its not the kind of material you can take up really, would look odd, and to be honest, would probably cost more than the trousers. Otherwise they are lovely|! for very very tall 3 year olds!

These are comfie school trousers and are quite thick so are cosy for the winter. Watch out though they are very long. I bought a 5-6 for an average sized 5 year old and had to turn them up 2 inches they were so long.

These are the best school trousers I have ever brought for my daughter. Unlike other school trousers the jersey ones actually come high enough to cover her bum when she sits down. They move with her which means she is comfy in them all day. I brought age 6/7 for my daughter and they fit her perfectly even though she is tall for her age. Would strongly recommend these.

My daughters will only wear these trousers for school and will not try anything else - they love them so much! They are extremely comfortable and wear well. They do bobble slightly after several washes however I feel this is to be expected with the amount of wear/washing they go through. Both girls are slim and fairly tall for their age, however I have had to order the age below as they are so long and I have taken them in slightly on the waist. I've been buying these trousers for years and hope that M&S will continue to stock them for many more years to come.

Warm Trousers

I bought these navy school trousers for my daughter in year seven. They look like normal school trousers at a distance but some children can tell and ask if they are P.E trousers. The trousers are quite warm but come up a bit large and big. Im going to keep these until my daughter is older and taller. When she first wore them, the hems trailed on the floor and mud and leaves and goodness knows what got stuck on them. It took 2 washes to get rid of the bits but they are not completely gone. My daughter says that they are very comfortable.
