Leather Wide Fit Plait Gladiator Sandals

I had the same problem with the toe wearing out on these sandals as several other people have had. I returned them to the store yesterday and they exchanged them for a new pair without a quibble. Well done marks and spencer

Beware! Snake skin design that is advertised on the picture of this product is not what I got. I would expect from M&S to have their website in order, especially when they are charging £30 for a piece of leather string, and to sell what is actually shown. Unfortunately I bought this as a present to my mother who livers abroad just before my trip, and I don't have time to wait for replacement. Be careful what you're ordering, it is likely you'll get something completely different.

I have bought these sandals for quite afew years now. This years design was not as good as previous years - not as comfortable somehow. Also I am very disappointed with the quality (both this years and previous ones) - the front of the sandal (despite little wear) has worn away excessively leaving a hole - looks a right mess. There is also a severe problem with the heel area ... it is made of a material that does not wear well at all. This is despite how carefully you try to avoid this. After very little wear the heel shows every scrape/knock and the fabric begins to peel off. Despite all this - i still like the comfort and design of this sandal - i just hope M&S read this review and try to improve on these for 2014. Also disappointed that they arent available in black this year ... black ones look great with a dress on holiday, smart and very comfortable (despite the damaged bits obviously)

Slightly wider than I need but that was my failure in not reading the description carefully. Despite this they are a very comfortable sandal & look good. The colour suits all outfits.

I had a pair of these sandals, in blue, for my birthday in April 2013. i have not worn them excessively but already the front of the sandal is showing excessive signs of wear and tear, with a hole in the fabric of the sole lining. This happened with a similar pair that I bought 2 years ago. I love the style of these sandals.....and I ordered them because I live abroad and I can guarantee that they will fit my wide feet and chunky ankles......but the quality is diabolical!!!!

These are truly the most comfortable sandals I've ever had. I bought them in the blue/indigo colour for my holiday and as well as cool and stylish they kept my feet ache free through heat and lots of walking. They still look like new and I've had lots of compliments about them. I would highly recommend them.

I dread buying shoes as I have awkward shaped feet - tried every single pair of shoes in a local shoe shop once and each one rubbed in a different place. These are so comfortable and have not rubbed at all, plus they could be either smart and casual depending on which colour you buy. If you are looking for a pair of comfortable sandals to wear all day - I would highly recommend.

I bought these in tan and they are so comfy from first wearing. I have walked a lot in them and no blisters or pinching. I normally have to break in new shoes, but not these. Due to wide fitting I bought a half size smaller than normal and they are perfect. I have now ordered them in black. Definitely recommend

Bought these sandals for a trip to Siena, wishing to wear something comfortable yet stylish so as to fit in with the impossibly glamorous Italian women. They fit the bill perfectly, as they were immediately comfortable, didn't rub at all in spite of my feet getting very hot, and had good grip when negotiating steep cobbled streets or even rough gravel. It is true, as other reviewers have written, that scuffs result in white showing through the leather on the heel, but that only really happened to me when I caught my foot awkwardly on very sharp cobbled stones. They also survived an enormous downpour with no damage to the appearance or fabric. I bought the silver colour and found them extremely versatile on style as they can be worn with lots of different colours, with very casual shorts, smarter trousers and even a dress. All in all a brilliant sandal - great price and fully able to compete with anything worn on the streets of Siena!

These shoes were a good buy and I am thrilled they come in other colours now. I didn't need to wear them in; wore all day for the first time with no blisters. Very comfortable and good to drive in. Definitely recommend!

I have 2 pairs of these Sandals . I bought a Black pair & they are sooo comforable, that I now have a Blue pair too. Try them for yourself.

My daughter had been on at me to buy a pair of these Sandals for 4 years - wish that I had bought them sooner - I bought the patterned pair and they go with everything, and are so very comfortable, I love them and think I will need to buy another pair.

I received these sandals this morning and they were comfortable straight from the box. My only slightly negative comment is that they are more purple than blue. Still lovely sandals though. Just need some sunny weather now.
