ABOUT THIS WINE: This fragrant Slovenian white is grown on the sunny vineyard terraces of Goriska Brda, steeply sloped to pick up the cooling breezes of the Adriatic Sea. Winemaker Darinko Ribolica believes these gentle breezes fill the Pinot Bianco grapes with fragrance and keep them lively and fresh.

SERVING: Perfect for matching with light oriental dishes like spicy prawn toasts or crispy aromatic duck. Try serving with oysters with a lemon and shallot sauce or 'Rockefeller'.

This lively white comes from Chardonnay and Viognier grapes harvested in the Bekaa Valley and kept cool and crisp throughout their fermentation. Lebanon's are some of the oldest vineyards in the world: the first vines reaching its shores with the Phoenician sailors some 4,000 years ago.

Winemaker Ed Salzberg fermented the wine at cool temperatures to preserve maximum aromatics and his rigorous attention to detail gives gentle complexity to this enchanting white wine.

ABOUT THIS WINE: Atlantis has all the bright citrus of an elegant Sauvignon but with a complex ethereal charm all its own. Expect flowers, fresh fruits and a light mineral tang suggestive of its coastline location. Santorini is an amazing place to make wine: vines are protected from the brisk island winds by being formed into low basket shapes on the volcanic hillsides. The nestling Assyrtiko vines for this wine are over 60 years old, giving their fruit fabulously rich flavour.

SERVING: This tantalising Greek white is a great match for prawns in a tangy lemon sauce, wild salmon with fennel, or a baby spinach salad with crispy bacon and croutons.
