Really disappointed in this, the second cardigan I have had to return to M&S recently because it has "bobbled" badly on first wear.

I needed a simple yet stylish long-line cardi to wear over tunic tops with skinny trousers, that would be warm without looking too chunky or casual. This is just perfect - I can't recommend it highly enough.

Fell in love with this cardigan in-store; was looking for a replacement for my venerable black oblong cardigan, which sadly bobbled after about 5 years. I'm 5'3" and I'd describe it as a nice mini-length; a good 4-6 inches above the knee. Very flattering, excellent fit in my usual size, lovely shape. The fabric is a bit rough - reminiscent of the low-priced lambswool sweaters I wore in the 70s/80s that couldn't be worn against bare skin - but as a cardigan that isn't too big an issue and the high back neckline hasn't caused any irritation. No bobbles yet, but I don't wash cardigans every wear so that may be a factor. Very pleased with the look, if a touch disappointed in the feel, and it's nice and warm without adding unwanted bulk.

Bought this online as I was after a stylish longline navy cardigan and I couldn't see one in my local store. I found it to be tight around the shoulders but very voluminous at the back so it didn't suit me. I also found the material a bit rough against my skin but this might improve after washing. I'll never know as I decided to return it as it wasn't for me.

I love this cardigan and wear it most days (have even bought a spare one in case it sells out before I need a replacement). I have also bought two for my mum who loves them. They cover all the lumps and bumps and I don't have a baggy elbow problem with them at all.

Lovely lightweight swing cardi, just right for wearing to work in winter.

Looks great as soon as you try it on, great fabric! However wear for an hour or more and you get baggy elbow syndrome (which means I will need to wash after ever wear, which will lead to it going in the bin in next to no time) I would avoid this one and go for the Cashmire cardigan with buttons on sleeves and pockets (wears much better for just a little bit extra)

Lovely material, fitted nicely and hangs well at the back which is not always the case with swing cardis.

The cardigan arrived looking like a bit of rag in a bag ! But after careful ironing it now looks and fits lovely. The style is very flattering and covers all the lumps and bumps. A very useful cardigan to have in my wardrobe.

This open front swing cardigan is soft and hangs beautifully off the shoulder. Due to the flair design around the hip level it makes a short figure appear wider. Therefore it has to be returned.

I really like the fit of this cardigan which is true to size. However, I really, really hate the bobbling and was glad I waited to post a review until I'd worn it and washed it a few times. It started bobbling during the first wear and washing (very carefully for a wool garment) only made it worse. It's not just on the underarms and side seams, but all over - to such an extent that I leave behind a trail on seats, on any other garments I'm wearing with it and on my bedroom floor! Not very impressed at all I'm afraid.
