Italian Fine Wool Modern Slim Leg Trousers

I was excited to see that M&S had introduced some wool mix fabric to their modern slim range. However the fabric is very thin and is of poor quality. Also the fit around the thighs is huge - I find this in most trousers but this was extreme. These are definitely not worth the high price tag.

I was so pleased to find modern slim leg trousers in wool for winter and ordered online. Unfortunately the trousers were too big on the waist and not at all slim fitting around the thighs and the "modern slim" actually looked old fashioned. The lower leg width and length was ok. I am 5'5"and standard size 8. Returned them.

I was inspired by a different Modern Slim Fit pair of trousers and so I ordered these, even though I thought it a pity that they weren't washable. On me the waist is fine, but the sides of the hips stick out dreadfully. If they'd been cheaper, I'd have had them taken in, but not at this price. Expensive and disappointing.

The wool and stretch mix is ideal for winter trousers and the legs are nice and slim. I ordered my usual size 12M and found that this pair came up rather on the large side in the waist, so I will have to wear them with a belt to stop them slipping down. This is annoying, but they are lovely trousers and good value for this type of material.
