Wool Blend Checked Coat

I am 5'7" and a size 22. This coat is very stylish and well tailored so makes me appear slimmer - always a bonus! I particularly like the hidden buttons and the multiple pockets. It isn't a full length coat but this can be clearly seen on the photograph. It is made from a wool mixture but I dont think it will be warm enough in very cold weather. although a blue colour, I certainly won't be feeling blue wearing it. I was lucky enough to purchase this with a 20% discount which was an added bonus but feel it is worth the proper price on the tag. A fabulous find for this winter. I am very pleased with it.

I was also looking for a smart-casual winter coat that wasn't black and this fits the bill. All the oversized coats I tried on made me look enormous but this is nicely fitted and flattering. It's not too long but I would say definitely coat not jacket length (I'm just under 5 ft 4). I found the fit to be fine, room for a warm jumper underneath my usual size 12 . Have had lots of compliments and feel it brightens me up a bit in this dull weather and will take me into spring.

I bought this coat today after trying it on in the shop. The best thing is the colour - so lovely to find a coat that isn't black, grey or another drab colour. This is lovely and fresh and I'm so looking forward to wearing it. The fit is maybe slightly slim on the hips but as I plan to wear it for work and not with majorly long thick winter woolies that's not a problem for me (hence dropping a star on the fit). The fabric is high in wool and I don't find it at all itchy. It's also reasonably fine so not at all bulky. So yes, I'd thoroughly recommend this coat - thank you M&S!

Unlike another reviewer I found this coat a poor fit (wide on the shoulders, very narrow round the hips) and jacket rather than coat length. The tailoring is excellent, the colours are lovely, and the covered button fastening very smart, but the fabric - which has a high wool content - is stiff, very itchy, creases badly and feels cheap. The coat isn't 'fluid' and doesn't move with the body. I saw this at an M&S fashion show and ordered on line - hard to believe it's the same coat; sadly, I returned it.

This coat is true to size,just a bit tight on the arms. Enough room for a thin jumper. Quality wise is good because you feel the weight of the coat. Far far far much better than the over hyped pink duster coat which I think the sleeves are like wearing a bathrobe. This is a true classic coat with hidden buttons. I'm 5f 4 and the length is just nice on the knee. Can pair with jeans and brogues for a classy feel.
