Pure Merino Wool Polo Neck Jumper

Bit disappointed with quality as it's so fine it's almost see through, however I was just looking for an everyday warm jumper and although it's not particularly warm it looks stylish.Sleeve buttons look good but sleeves are a bit too long for my small frame. Polo neck a bit loose.Delighted to purchase with 20% discount but wouldn't have purchased at full price

Lovely light merino wool. Flattering all round. Trim on sleeves very stylish.

Jumper is a lovely fit and the buttons add character. Can be dressed up or down.

Very disappointed with this jumper ,bought online as it looked stylish . I assumed it would fit as was my correct size, carefully washed and laid flat to dry .when I went to wear what a shock fabric was very thin and see through,quite prickly and worst of all sleeves were tight and long enough to fit a gorilla ,not sure if this is fault in my jumper but very disappointed . Not what I expect from Marks and Spencer !! If you cant do cheap with quality please just do quality !!

Initially delighted - as soon as I saw this jumper I bought 1 in each of the colours. The fit I thought was great and, quite liked the fact that it fell a little lower than just resting on the waist. It is a little itchy but I was willing to live with this because I liked the design. The problem is when you come to wash them. As soon as you wash them they look like you've had them for years and the design on the cuff becomes tights - you can sort of resolve this will some careful pressing.

This jumper looked fine on the hanger but when I put it on it was so thin it is see through. The size is very small, the arms very tight and even though I haven't washed it yet it's already fraying at the cuff. Very disappointed with the quality and sizing is inconsistent with other m&s products

Love the design of this jumper. It is very elegant. It is however a little thin. I am delighted to see that M and S are producing Merino Wool Jumpers again but am disappointed to see that it is only produced in 2 colours. Black doesn't suit everyone! I don't yet know how well this item will wash however.

I loved this sweater, first bought in Taupe and then bought in black. Oh that it existed in chocolate brown too, as M&S have a dearth of clothing in this staple colour, and the basis of my own wardrobe. It feels silky smooth next to my skin, the neck is elegantly relaxed and does not throttle me, make me itch or feel scratchy and hot. I love the fineness of the knit. And it seems to have a shape to it, and not be boxy and shapeless as many sweaters are. I've recently lost weight and it is wonderful to wear something so elegant and not feel bulky or frumpy.

This jumper was very disappointing, very thin, small for size and the button trim fell on the inside of sleeve rather than outside as in your photos.

I was so excited that M&S had returned to merino wool jumpers that I immediately went to try the black one on in this style (I love polo/roll neck jumpers) in a size 12. Normally would have bought a 10 in M&S wool jumpers, as I have done over many years, but having tried on the merino v neck in a 10 thought I should size up. This was just as bad as the V neck. 1. the material was so thin, it was see-through. 2. the roll neck was quite loose. In fact, it was a cross between a polo neck and a cowl neck. 3. even a 12 was quite tight on me, when I normally buy a 10. A 14 would have been huge on the neck. 4. the button detail on the sleeve could have been quite nice, the the quality of the buttons looked cheap. Such a shame as I have been complaining in reviews for years about the lack of merino jumpers.

Bought a very similar M & S silk and cashmere blend roll neck last year in a size 10 and found, especially after it'd been washed, the 10 was a little too snug a fit all round for comfort. This year I bought this merino roll neck in a size 12 and it's perfect - not too snug and I don't feel as if I'm being strangled! The merino's not too heavy so a good layering piece but if, like me you're between sizes, I'd advise going up rather than down. Love the button detail; only 4* at present 'cos I don't know how it'll wash.

I ordered this in both colours - the taupe was a great colour and the black is, well, black. Quality is good. I bought both in size 10, the black fits, the other is too tight and has gone back. The fit of the one I've kept is okay, but the sleeves are very tight (I do not have fat arms) and stretch the knit a little too much. Will be fine under a jacket, but now I'll miss showing off the sleeve detailing! Could M&S please do something about standardising their sizes? A little quality control wouldn't go amiss. It's particularly annoying for me because I live abroad and returns are a bit of a nightmare.

Bought this in black and for the money it is an excellent addition to my wardrobe. Size 14 true to size and fits perfectly. Button detail on wrist takes away from it being just another black roll neck. And this year M&S roll necks appear much closer fitting and do not gape. Well the two roll necks I have purchased are perfect. Have not washed yet so cannot comment on outcome.

So good to have merino wool - bought both black and mushroom. More colours please!
