Italian Fine Wool Ankle Grazer Modern Slim Leg Trousers

Tried size 14 extra long because this was the only size 14 they had. Too long and I didn't want to shorten them because of the little slit at the ankle, thought it might spoil the way they hung. Ordered a size 14 medium length and I couldn't even fasten the zip, they were so tight! Then I ordered the size 16 in medium length. The fit was okay though a bit looser than I would have liked and they were too long, but having found the style I liked, I decided to keep them and shorten them. Luckily before I either wore or shortened them, I was inspired to check the label which said "professional dry clean" - so I took them back and bought a pair elsewhere which are washable. Very cross, disappointed and more than a little irritated that sizes should be so erratic and that dry cleaning wasn't made a bit clearer. At this price, sizes should be standard, i.e. a size 14 should be a size 14 irrespective of the length!

Lovely fabric, shame about the quality control. They are made in China and I sent two pairs back as waistband was puckered on one pair and stitching visible below the waistband on the second. I am a 36" inside leg and they sit just above my ankle. A bit too baggy below the bum but for this price a good buy.

This is a lovely pair of trousers, excellent fit, slim leg and elegant.

Very impressed with fit and quality. It's so rare to find trousers with wool in. Please make them in other colours!
