Having spent quite a lot on ballerina style slippers I decided to invest a little extra in a good pair that would last. These slippers are extremely sturdy but also very comfortable. They're ideal for busy mums, like me, who might need to nip outside to empty the bins but comfortable enough to potter around the house in.

Just bought a new pair as l needed to replace the ones l bought last year which I have had on nearly every day and are now worn out. As previous reviewers have stated, they are so comfortable, you forget you have them on. I like the fact that you can slip outside in them as the sole is so robust. They wash really well, l will definately buy another pair next year, may even buy the other colour this year.

They are not pretty but love them. Had them for a year and still going strong. I nip out on them to do washing or take the bins. They did take about a week to break in but since that no problems. Often forget I have them on and nip to the shop. Only spotting the error too late .

I bought a pair in 2012. The top of the heel dug in for the first week only. They are really warm in a house without central heating. The sole is excellent, so that you can safely do housework in them. Bought a second pairs in Oct 2013, and my only disappointment is that a new colour was not introduced in the maroon, purple, aubergine spectrum.

Bought these slippers as they looked good and thought they would last...WRONG .They are really sore at the heel and I can't wear them.Never had a problem with slipper but these are a nightmare.

Bought these the other day and what a nightmare already. I have blisters on my heels and thought they would soften but they are now unwearable. Have just read the reviews that say the same thing. Total waste of money. Wish I had read the reviews but they were an impulse buy as I needed slippers urgently. I bought a size 7 and as I am just over a size 6 I thought they would be nice and loose. They are loose and still dig in on the heel. M and S I am waiting on your reply please.

The backs on these are a nightmare, I have had them a week and have sores on the backs of my heels, I thought they would break in after reading the reviews I am so disappointed I didn't read the reviews first befor I bought them, I have learnt from this mistake and will be sure to read up on an item first befor I buy them!! Please don't make the same mistake!!

I've worn these slippers since last winter and they are still going strong. I've just bought another pair in case M&S stops selling them. The backs were a little stiff on the seam at first but that was easily sorted by a few taps with a hammer.

I agree with the other reviews, these slippers are really nice and very good quality but I've never had blisters with slippers, my left heel is raw. I keep persevering as I know they will stop hurting soon but it very strange!!

Working from home I need supportive slippers and these fit the bill. So much so, that I had started the car before I realised I still had my slippers on! Backs were a problem to start with, but fine now. Like another reviewer I wore socks for a while to help. Super for nipping into the garden too.... might buy another pair but wish they were in navy blue! Would love to find a 'boot' slipper for the winter with such brilliant soles.....

I brought these slippers even after reading the reviews and really wish I hadn't. They are lovely slippers and look great but the backs are so hard that I cannot wear them. I have tried many times to break them in but they now live in the back of the wardrobe and do not come out. So for me a complete waste of money and wish I'd returned them.

I have these in the boots which are fantastic so decided to order them in the slipper in the same size but they were too small and hurt at the back of the heal. Tried a size bigger which did fit but again hurt at the back of the heal so returned

This is the 3rd pair of these slippers I have purchased I have them in reserve in case they go out of stock. At first the back of the heel is a little stiff but after a few days they are fine. They are true to size and do not loose their shape as a lot of full slippers tend to fall down at the back of the heels but these say firm well done m & s more colours please. and yes they wash well

I have very narrow feet and find it incredibly hard to get shoes and slippers that fit satisfactorily. These are perfect for me - I can see that others have complained about the shaping at the back but they are ideal for my feet. Think they are brilliant and am tempted to buy a 2nd pair to keep in the cupboard for when these wear out!

I first purchased a pair of these slippers a few months ago - they are so soft and cosy, but I bought them in a size 4, and they just got bigger and sloppier over time. However, I liked the style so much that I passed those on to my daughter who has a larger foot size, and re-ordered them in a size 3. They are a perfect fit. The left one rubs my heel a bit (as other reviews have commented on), but they are definitely getting better. Really cosy and warm and I like them a lot.
