Wool Blend Notch Lapel Long Coat with Cashmere

This is a lovely comfortable, warm winter coat. Nicely tailored round the middle. BUT I originally ordered my usual size (18) and it was too small, particularly across the shoulders. That was wearing a medium weight dress and light cardigan underneath. So I had to order the next size up (20), which is OK, but I am not sure I could wear it over a suit - which I could do with my previous long wool coat. That aside it is absolutely fine.

I bought this coat online, hoping that it would not need to be returned and I was so surprised when it was a very flattering fit for size 16. My only complaint is that it arrived slightly creased from its carriage (although folded in box). It is taking a while for the creases to drop out, so may have to carefully steam the area. Otherwise, nice length, lighter in weight than I imagined but I'm very happy given it's cost.

I like this coat, its lovely and soft and warm but I thought the buttons were a bit boring so I have changed them to brighten it up a bit. The coat looks good with a bright scarf, however the inside of the collar looks dusty after only a few day's wear, it constantly needs de-fluffing. Apart from that its fine.

This coat is very cosy - lovely length as I am only 5ft., sleeves long, but I will shorten these myself. Just right for winter and such a lovely colour for this time of the year.

I was so pleased to find a classic navy coat for the price, but when it arrived it was so short and tight that I had to return it. Surely I can't be the only person who wants a bit of room in a winter coat? And the length was far too short; it didn't look that short on the model, who apparently is much taller than me! I can't work out the sizing any more. I give up!

I am very pleased with the coat and consider it good value. The style is modern and the material is good quality. One of the pockets has a little puckering.

Nice coat and very good value for money, it's a shame that the sizing and fit fall a bit short. Such a shame I've had to return it for a refund, my wife was very disappointed.

I have read all the previous reviews and am wondering if I have got a faulty one. The fabric is a lint magnet. It needs constant lint removal (every 15 minutes). Even if not wearing any fluffy clothes. It looks like an old shabby coat. Very disappointing., Will be returning it.

I bought this lovely coat and couldn't believe the quality, the picture doesn't do it justice. I ordered the buttermilk which is a lovely warm cream that goes with everything. I ordered a 14 and was worried it might be tight with it being fitted but it was perfect. Would love to order the blue one but will have to wait until Christmas.

Previous coat and jacket from M&S were a little large - good really as can get jumpers under but this - I am 16 top and 14 below - flattened me and I could hardly move. The rear was all crumpled up around me and the peplum look just on top of the hip accentuates any hips. I tried it in store and then I tried a size larger, no different. Having lost weight this was amazing. I could never have got anything thicker than my shirt and thin cardi under it. The material was a sort of thick feel (I know cashmere content but still) and rounded off at the hem and cuffs as if it needed pressing. I realise the coat is semi fitted but it doesn't fit anyway. No good returned it.

Love this coat got it in black and a bargain as I was quick of the mark with 20% off last month ....lovely feel to the fabric its warm and true to size I'm a 16....length just below the knee so great with trousers or dresses. Buttermilk colour on my Christmas wish list.

Have been trying to buy this coat in buttermilk for ages but never had my size. Popped in on the off chance to my local store and New stock had just arrived. I would say I am a perfect 12 and this coat fits me perfectly in a size 12. Love the way it goes in slightly at the waist to make me look and feel thinner. Glad I persevered and didn't go anywhere else. Also love the slant pockets. In fact there is nothing about this coat that I don't like! My only gripe is when you (M &S) have such a good product why is it so hard to get hold of one?
