Boys Thermal Blazer with Thinsulate™ & Stormwear+™ (Older Boys)

Really pleased with this blazer, ordered a few to try and compare and this won every time, the fit, quality and design are excellent. Has internal zips for money/phone and the thermal/quilted lining not only is great for colder days but gives the blazer a more smarter robust look. Son has had many compliments.

Everyone else is right - this is definitely not black, it has a sort of brownish tinge and is quite shiny. This is quite obvious when held up against M&S black school trousers. Also it has heavily padded shoulders which gives it an 80s look! - definitely not something my 11 yr old would wear. This is so disappointing as it is such a good idea with the warmer spec (my son refuses to wear coats too) Please revise this M&S as it is a sure winner if you can get the same material as your other blazers and take out the Joan Collins pads!

thought we would be on to a winner .fit ok. never easy with a tall thin youth, this idea is fantastic [boys dont do coats!!] but after ordering our normal pleat front classic trousers [longer length] the black colour is not the same.the blazer has a red/ brown hue next to the trousers .we also ordered the longer length classic blazer and its the same.come on M&S pull your fingers out. they should match.will have to send back. what a shame.

I bought this for my son when he moved to Upper School, mainly because of the Thinsulate lining, as boys just won't wear winter coats will they? I was surprised to find that my then 13 year old, who is of decidedly average build, and usually wears slim fit trousers, needed this blazer in age 16 and even then it was clear that there wasn't enough growing room to make it last more than a year. It has generally washed and worn well, other than when the seam above the back vent came apart (caused by constant pulling where my son has his hands in his pockets all the time). As feared, my son has grown several inches during the year and now needs a bigger size, but there isn't one. Please, please M&S can you make this blazer in larger sizes like you do your other styles? I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

I am extremely pleased with this 2 in 1 jacket. Weighty and warm with a quilted lining it is an absolutely brilliant fit for my son who is 15 and flatly refuses to wear a coat in winter to school. I bought an age 16 and it has room for him to continue growing and the arm length is just right. Well done M & S some imaginative thinking and there is a niche in the market for this type of blazer.

This jacket for my son, is thrid time lucky for the size but is much loved once a good fitting for him is found. The jacket is lightly padded for warmth, just right because of having to keep his school jumper on. My son is looks smart in it and so I am happy.

This jacket is the only reason my 15 year old is not completely frozen walking to school. He point blank refuses to wear a coat (uncool or not hench as they say now apparently). The lining in this jacket gives some winter protection for fussy teenagers. I don't think he has noticed it is different from his 'normal' ones....yet!

Had to rush order due to growth spurt and this was only jacket in stock. Therefore spent above anticipated budget but glad I did. Fit and finish is excellent and son reports warmth factor as very effective. Positive knock on effect is that he has barely had to wear a winter topcoat yet and also his topcoat hasn't had to be of big bulky padded type which he hates dragging around in school time. Untested yet against snow cold but looking promising.

Good quality product and very stylish!Warm and my 10 yr old is really pleased with it. I bought it as he does not like wearing jackets over his blazer. And this serves the purpose atleast when it's not raining.

looks good now, good fit. this is the second blazer i have bought from M&S, the first was very good so i can only hope that this one is as good.

I would recommend this blazer to anyone, it hangs lovely and does not crease up at all, also my son got soaking wet through on the way home from school the other day, i just hung his blazer on the maiden and it was dry in no time.

I wanted a warm 'mid-season' blazer and was thrilled to find this one was padded. A bit disappointed as the quilting does not run through the sleeves and the torso quilting is not as thick as I had expected, seems a bit lightweight but I will wait for the turn of weather to find out how 'thermal' it is. Has a loop in the collar to hang on pegs / hooks which is good (if he makes use of it!) Zipped inside pocket is a great detail. Very well tailored and finish is good, roomy on my boy and sleeves are a generous length on him too (slim / athletic build , 132cm). Should go through next Academic year too!

I bought this, made for 16 yr olds, for my 15 yr old son who is nearing 6'. Unfortunately although the body of the blazer fitted the sleeves were some 2-3" too short. For that reason I had to send the item back. I was upset about this as the rest of the blazer seemed really good. Aged 16 is the larges size made in this items. Shame!
