Loved this coat as soon as I put it on. It is pure luxury. The colour means it can be worn at any time of the year but probably not on very wet/ muddy days! The coat is so versatile as it looks great with a dress and boots but also over jeans and a jumper. An excellent buy which will be worn and enjoyed.

Lovely coat and cut (although very large - had to go down 2 sizes). Alpaca is lovely and soft but the coat is spoilt by the cheap lining. Why not put that bit extra in, it would make all the difference

I spotted this coat when the stock situation became low and began checking daily and finally a size 10 arrived!! Yay! Its gorgeous-totally impractical with the colour however it`s so pretty I don`t care. If they still have your size, purchase now-well done M&S :o)

Nice enough coat in a soft lovely fabric. But the sizing of the garment is all wrong. Buy one, this coat really is fab, but get it at least one size smaller than you normally would.

Excellent quality, stylish classic, well worth the money but the sleeves are just too tight even to take a thin top, let alone a sweater. Please get your sizing right M&S.

At last! My quest for the perfect winter coat is over. After much ordering online and purchasing of coats in store and subsequently returning them I have finally found my dream coat. It's stunning - no other word for it, and I have fallen in love. It's soft, luxurious, well cut, well made and beautifully lined. It's like wrapping myself up in the softest fluffiest cloud in the heavens. Worth every expensive penny! Thank you M&S.

I ordered this coat in my normal size 12 but it was too big. This made me both delighted (sad but true) and frustrated as size 10's are currently out of stock. This coat is truly beautiful - soft and luxurious and a good price in comparison to more high end alternatives. It's totally impractical given its colour and totally gorgeous given its style. I am constantly checking the stock situation - another sad truth - but this coat is a rare find that I hope will eventually find its way to my wardrobe.

I bought a few of the Best of British pieces their first day in stores, including this coat, which I have worn today. The fabric is beautiful: soft, slightly fluffy, like wrapping yourself up in a dreamy cloud. This contrasts with the very, very sharp cut, which gives a winning combination of a traditional coat but done in a fabric which gives it a more modern twist. The 14 is slightly big (hence only 4 stars - I'm a hard marker). However, I am only wearing it over a dress not a suit. It has turned heads when I've been out walking in it today, a sure sign that something is fresh and different.
