Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor sizing of boys shirts Most disappointed this year when I bought my usual M&S shirts as I have been doing faithfully for the last 13 years for my three children . Never have I had a complaint before or have I even had to try them on , however this year the boys age 13-14 years are measurably smaller than the the 11-12 years my son wore last year. Unfortunately I have taken them out of the packet, ironed and named them all before the holidays ended as any busy working mother tries to do to be half organised. My son looks very very snug in them !! Unfortunately I have no option but to replace these .Is this a case of M&S dropping their reliable high standards to cut costs??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shopper with conscience Great shirts typical of M & S quality. However obscene amount of packaging on the shirts. I would rather buy them on a hanger which I can then leave at the checkouts. In this day and age so much waste just to make an item look 'nice' isn't right.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from School Shirts for Next Term I bought a pack of theses in store, but also ordered a pack online, as I needed two. When I received, them I noticed the packaging was different to the one I had bought in store. I opened both packs and compared sizes. To my amazement I found the pack I'd ordered online was much smaller all round compared with the pack I'd bought in store. I got hold of the next size down, which was age 14, which my son had grown out of and found that the new shirts, which were age 15, were the same size as the age 14 shirts. I found that this was the same for the short sleeve shirts. Conclusion: the older style packaging shirts from previous seasons are of a certain size but the new style packaging, current season, have been made a full size smaller. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I called into my local store and explained to the assistants. They opened several shirt packs and agreed with my findings. They were concerned that the shirts they have available to try on are now different sizes to those in the new packets. Upon investigation they found that the supplier had changed. This is no excuse for poor sizing. There may be a recession on but making these shirts smaller is not the answer as children still grow. I have wasted lots of time and effort over this issue. It really shouldn't happen. I should be able to buy the next age up and it should be bigger than the previous age. Please sort it out for next year. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My son's shirt M&S was the only store where I found a selection of shirts to suit our needs. We needed a long-sleeve, preferable non-ironable shirt for school. As the store at Fort Kinnaird did not have them in white, we ordered a set of three packs at the store for a home delivery. The shirt is light, feels airy, the only downside is that the buttons go through the holes with some effort, however, it may also be an advantage, as the shirt would not certainly open unexpectedly. Overall, a good value for money and the quality of fabric should be for long wear. Certainly we will grow faster that this shirt can wear out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent school shirts I've been buying these shirts for four years now and they are excellent. They last extremely well and in very good condition until my son grows out of them, I have never had to throw any away due to wear. I really would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Iron Shirts Bought these for my 15 year old son who is 5'10" and rugby player build - not overweight, but stocky. He needed the 16.5" neck size, and I was a little concerned the shirt would be too big everywhere else. Fortunately it isn't - not too long in the body nor too wide in the shoulders or body, although the sleeves are a little long for him, but not enough to be a problem. I'm going to get a couple more. They really are easy to iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality shirts, fast delivery. Having bought many school shirts over the years for my two boys, I have always bought M&S in recent years as I have found that they wash really well. I don't usually bother with non iron or easy iron but this time they were the only ones in the size I needed. It doesn't make much difference to me as I don't have a tumble drier, and if I'm ironing I use steam so I personally don't notice much of a difference between iron and easy iron, any M&S school shirts I have had over the last 13years have always ironed just fine! I do tend to buy the next age up to get a school year out of them, and find a 14 is more 13-14, so I would get age 15 for a14 year old. Delivery was great. Ordered on line and collected before lunch the next day from my local simply food store!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Different sizes bought long sleeved easy iron as I already had short sleeved shirts but there is a difference of at least 2inches in size between these and the ultimate non iron version. Shopping for growing boys is hard enough without different version being different sizes argghh
