Velvet Collar Coat

Bought in the sale, so excellent v.f.m. The velvet collar, whilst not contrasting is a sophisticated complimentary colour. Size XL for a 6'2" 95 kilo fit, with no suit jacket worn underneath. Generally makes me feel "dapper!" Only downside, there were a few loose threads within the material (not the seams) which ordinarily I would have changed the coat for, but the price and availability made me accept as seen.

Thank you M&S, I am very pleased with my purchaser, it is a lovely coat, very well made and very good quality. The fit is excellent except I had to have the sleeves shortened, but that is more the fault of my odd shape not the coat. This coat is perfect for casual or formal and has a timeless stile.

The colour and fabric of this coat was not as expected and the coat looked tired and dated.

I've become drawn to velvet collared coats over the past few months. I wear them instead of a jacket, Autumn, Winter and Spring. This latest (M&S) addition will look well with a blue open collared shirt and dark trousers.

This item was poor quality, the velvet collar appears dark brown on the net, in reality it was an insipid weak coffee colour. It also came up very small, I ordered a 48 and have other items from m&s in 48 which fit, this didn't. I have returned this item as totally unsatisfactory.

This is a nice smart coat with an attractive contrast velvet collar which I liked. I did buy on an offer and would probably not have been tempted to purchase at the full price. The M & S Service is good I picked up from my local Simply Food as easier than waiting longer for the Free Home Delivery offered and then having to make sure someone was at home. The coat fits well looks good value for the price and is a sensible length and as I tend to use public transport more is nice and warm when waiting on draughty platforms. I followed the guide on size but had to return for next larger as I only wear an overcoat over a jacket and you may need to make a size allowance for that but does then leave the sleeves a touch longer.

Pretty stylish coat , probably a bit formal than what I thought it would be , but happy with purchase , wouldn't mind some ideas what to wear it with .

I wear over a jacket so the medium was too small so I then ordered a large. This is fine except that the sleeves are now a little too long. Put this down to my small frame!

I love this coat the colour is fantastic and i am going to wear it to the races in Paris on Sunday. Well done M&S.
