Seam Detail Knee Length Pencil Skirt with Secret Support™

Smart skirt but difficult to fasten without help as it does not easily slip round to help fastening the small button.Once on, it fit swell and is a good length which is a bonus as lengths are always rather short for me at 5foot 6 inches.

It had a lovely lovely fit on me. I fell in love with the skirt in the dressing room and actually bought about 4 of them - eventually. (I don't shop for clothes that often). I'm slightly 'hippy' and it gave me a 'slimmer' lower body. The fabric with the rubbery inside fabric must be the main factor contributing to the slimming effect. The fact that it had both 25" and 27" length options is a very good thing. I bought the 27" length because I'm about 5' 9 tall. However, it would have been 100% perfect if it had belt holes close to the waist band (which is needed for office/formal wear), and also if the zip wasn't so large and visible. The skirt has no belt holes! All the same, This skirt made me decide I would always likely buy my pencil skirts from M & S.

So disappointed with this item. Yet again it is the awful 'rubbery' feeling fabric which is so unnatural. The photograph promised a nice smart black skirt for work. The reality was poor. All down to the fabric - sorry !

I have the trousers in the same range, which looked fab when I first bought them but as I've worn the trousers a lot they've gone quite bobbly and pilly. So I'm concerned the skirt will do the same and look shabby. That aside, the fit is really good and flattering, the length is good - knee length on me and I'm 5'9". Not sure if I'll keep it, as I mainly work from home, so don't need much smart work type clothing, which this skirt is, but its good value for money….

Love this skirt. I'm a curvy size 14 and having read previous reviews decided to go for this pencil skirt and soooo glad I did. It smooths out any lumps and bumps and gives a gorgeous, curvaceous silhouette. It's also comfortable and makes me feel confident and sexy. Go for it, you won't be disappointed. More colours M&S?!

This must be the most shoddy garment I have purchased from M&S. One of the panels is stitched incorrectly and the hemline goes up at the back on one of the panels. I hate the stretchy fabric too. I'm one very disappointed customer. The slimming lining is a good idea but isn't for me.

This is a perfect skirt for me! Despite the other reviews that aren't so encouraging........! You definitely have to have curves, otherwise it can't hug them and thus fit properly. The side seam ruching up doesn't happen if it fits curves nicely..........like mine! It's lovely smooth material that hasn't bobbled and the zip detail on the back is very classy. I bought my usual size, 16, and it fits excellent. The secret support means it literally fits like a glove! And makes me look a size smaller!!! :) But you definitely have to have curves otherwise it wont fit. It has been sooo handy for me! Many thanks M&S.

Had been looking for a skirt to wear for business meetings. This one is perfect. I don't like midi length so this knee length was just what I wanted. It is smart and feminine. The quality of the material is good and the "secret" control panel gives a very smooth outline. Will definitely buy another

...or so I think; I'm quite hourglass-shaped and I often find with pencil skirts that if it fits around my hips it's loose on the waist. This has a fair amount of stretch and it fits really nicely. A little expensive, and you may want to try a size up (I've lost weight recently and would have expected the size 16 to fit well but the size 18 fits better). Still, worth a try if you're a curvier woman like me :)

Needed a pencil skirt and was dreading the potential endless shopping journeys, so when I read about this skirt and the average reviews I decided to give it a miss. However, saw the skirt in the shop and not realising it was the same one as the reviews, I gave it a go and am so pleased about it, I have to do a review. Yes, it does have a side panel, but you hardly notice it - the design is that it gives emphasis and perfects ladies whom are pear shaped. By going a shape smaller than usual - purpose of the secret support, you won't get the side bulges that one of the reviewer comments on.
