Pure Cotton Shirred Midi Dress

Nice colour, cut and pattern. Comfortable and true to size. Good value for money. One drawback though it is see through! You could see my plain white knickers through the material when I wasn't even backlit! So I sent it back.

I was hoping this would suffice as a sundress for my holiday, but it was very disappointing. The elastic was very tight and the drawstring sat directly under the bust line which wasn't a great design. In addition to that the material was very thin and cheap plus it was extremely see through, I don't think it would even be flattering over a swimsuit or bikini!! Unfortunately it didn't meet expectation and so I have returned it.

Really lovely dress, flattering style and perfect for summer. However, it is very see through and for this reason I had to return it.

As other reviewers have said, if you are slightly bigger on the bust, then you definitely have to go up a size. The dress itself is a lovely colour & style, BUT, it is so see through! Unfortunately I've had to return it as I really don't want to wear an underskirt under a summer dress. Shame because I really liked the style. I would only recommend this dress if you don't mind it being see-through.

Love the dress, nice and cool, I bought size 14 which fits well. For a more relaxed fit I'd buy the next size up. The cotton material is a bit thin but for holidays its ideal.

Sadly I haven't yet this summer found a dress from M&S that I haven't had to return. Yet again I had high hopes for this style, for a light, easily packable dress for very hot climates. I found my usual size 12 way too tight on the shirred top, too high waisted ....and worst of all..... completely see-through. May be OK for a beach cover up, perhaps in a bigger size than usual for you, but for me a real disappointment....yet again. I hate giving these negative reviews, and am really not that hard to please, but M&S, when are you going to produce some really stylish, good quality summer dresses?

Very pleased with my purchase just what I wanted as I am in a wheelchair and it is easy for me to dress, and the quality is good.

Bought this blue sundress as soon as I spotted it as I've already got the khaki animal print one. This time I went straight for the next size up to my usual size 12 as these sundresses are tight around the chest, especially if you are rather top heavy. I was able to wear them on holiday and in the UK thanks to our recent heatwave and they were just ideal for day wear or evening dressed up with some jewellery. Love the longer length on myself as I'm short but just right as the maxi dresses are always too long. More cotton dresses please M&S!

This dress is flattering, comfortable and ideal for the summer weather as it is 100% cotton. I will not buy anything that isn't cotton or linen now. I would recommend this dress. I am normally a 12 but bought a 14.
