PETITE Woven Long Sleeve Swing Dress

I was looking forward to wearing this dress...Really let down by the fit

I ordered this dress in a size 14 as that is my usual size in the petit range. However the dress was too big. I tried on a size 10 in store and it fitted really well and was flattering for my pear-shaped figure. It it fitted around the bust but then skims over any lumps and bumps The picture online is not truly representative of how it looks in reality which is much better. It is very floaty and boho in style. However It is a couple of inches above the knee so may be too short for some but looks good with opaque black tights and ankle boots.

Had high hopes for this online purchase. Sadly unfounded. I'm 5'2" and as this is designed for petite, under 5'3" ladies I was disappointed to find it skimming my bum. Far too short even with the most opaque of tights. Also very tight on the shoulders and more of a tent shape than a skater one. Material too looked cheap. All in all, not for me.

Great I thought - there's a petite version (I am 5ft 2 inches). I didn't hesitate to order. On opening my order, I was a little disappointed the colour wasn't as bright as I thought it would be from the online picture. Nevertheless I was keen to try on. So disappointed. While the sleeve length was perfect, the dress was too short - far too short. I wanted this dress for work. There's no way I would wear any dress this short at my age (50+). I love fashion, but this is ridiculous M&S - the length would be suitable for a young woman only - and young women don't necessarily need swing dresses that skim over the bits we want to hide!

Ordered this dress in my usual size and it fits perfectly. I love a swing dress but sometimes they can seem a bit "tent" like on a petite frame however the tailoring at the back gives this dress a sleek shape with flattering swing in the front and no excess at the back! As per the other reviewer the dress was static when I first tried it on but don't let that put you off! Just nip down to your local haberdashery shop and pick up a little bottle of anti-static spray - I discovered the stuff a few years back and would never be without it for man made fabrics and tights etc! M&S if you can, pass this tip to the previous reviewer and then she can re-purchase & enjoy wearing this fabulous little dress!

I loved the style but had such severe static issues with this dress that I had to return it. I am prone to generating static but the fabric on this clung to me in ways that should never see the light of day. Bit gutted as it was really pretty otherwise!
