PETITE Pure Cotton Hooded Belted Trench Coat with Stormwear™

I am very pleased with this jacket. Good quality (except for the buckles), comfortable and fits well. I like the removable hood which gives it two looks. I did find the bottom part a bit more flared than I had expected.

Very stylish mac, but unfortunately leaves white marks when it rains, which defeats the object of the purchase. Having read other reviews this is not an isolated issue with my mac. Very disappointing, obviously a major fault with the fabric.

At last a coat with sleeves that I don't have to turn up. Belt seems disproportionately long (ends up in the middle of my back). A good purchase - would have preferred a lighter blue.

I love my new coat, it looks great and I've had loads of positive comments but.... when I got caught in the rain today I found that afterward it was covered in white water marks. I wont be able to wear it tomorrow even if it rains and may have to dig out my old anorak. The main reason I bought it wasn't to pose in but to wear on the school run/work run on rainy autumn days. I wouldn't have bought it if I had thought I'd not be able to wear it for that purpose. I'm not sure what M&S returns policy is on something like this, or if there is any care advice to rectify the problem?

Unfortunately after one wear in the rain this mac had mottled white patches where the outer fabric had become damp. Not sure if this is a defect or if everyone found that. Will be returned.

Smart and very well made - better than I expected. Quite a heavy weight - more an autumn than a summer coat

Firstly, I disagree with the first review on here, in that I think this is perfectly true to size for a coat. You need room for layers! Whilst the size below (just) fitted, I would not be able to move with a jumper on underneath! It is nicely cut, and the fabric is a lovely weight for a Spring/Autumn raincoat. I tested it on the school run this morning, and it kept me dry whilst I pushed the pushchair with one hand, and held my elder child's hand with the other! I was asked in the playground where it was from, and I think they were expecting me to say a well known designer brand - there was a look of surprise when I said M&S! So if you're looking for a more stylish, smarter or more flattering option to the outwardbound style coats around, then look no further; an investment piece at a reasonable price. Pros: Rainproof. The hood is removeable for a more sleek look. Would look just as good for the office as for the school run. Deep pockets. Con: The buckles are plastic. This looks a bit cheap up close, but is of course, more weatherproof than most other options. Also the lining in the hood is a nice tartan, but the lining of the actual coat is just dark polyester; but that said, this would look sleaker when the coat is worn hoodless anyway.

L love this coat - but smarter than a parka - but it wasn't a truly petite fit. It was too big in the body and so unfortunately had to go back.

Excellent fit with the bonus of a generous size detachable hood.

Very pleased. Hooded coat that looks nice over a dress. Good colour, looks smart. A bit on the expensive side but I really like the hood. Well done M&S!
