Multiway Pansy Maxi Dress

I loved the whole concept of this dress - the style, pattern, fabric etc. BUT.... I struggled to put it on and when I eventually managed the fit was far from acceptable! I am a classic size 10 and my bust was squashed and distorted!! Apart from that I LOOKED awful. When it came to removing it - that is another story!!! I was slightly warm, too. If my husband had not come to my rescue I would have been totally 'straight jacketed'!!!! I also felt panicky as at one point the dress got me trapped! Where, o where M&S, was the zip????? NONE!!! How on earth did this beautiful but poor fitting design pass your quality control??? HUGELY disappointed!!!

Loved the look of this dress, and in reality it was equally as stunning and a bargain in the sale! Sadly the top has been made too tight, so I couldn't get it over my head to try it! I'm a usual M&S 10, but this was far too tight on the top half. I returned it. Like another comment below, this is a fairly substantial dress, too heavy if you're trying to pack light for your summer holiday :(

I ordered this dress online. When I tried it on it was so tight across the bust that I couldn't get it off! I don't even have a big bust! My daughter had to pull it over my head! It is a beautiful dress so I was really disappointed to have to send it back and I scoured my local store in the hopes of finding a bigger one...no luck :-(

I was nearly put off buying this dress by the reviews saying it is too tight to get into, and glad I gave it a try myself. It is true that the bodice is tight because of the elasticized support (so worth sizing up if in doubt) - but the up side is that it offers excellent support, even to a generous bust. It drapes beautifully over the tummy area, and the clever ties mean it can be worn in a variety of ways to flatter - covering or exposing as much flesh as the wearer requires. It is long - I ordered the regular length and at 1.66m it reaches my (lower) ankles - so in my case will be best with wedges or heels. The design is pretty - the blue quite subtle rather than bright. As someone else has said too, it is quite a heavy dress which may make it quite warm on a hot day.

Feels lovely on, I am quite big busted & was sceptical about the built in support, but it fits great & doesn't compromise the shape. All this & can be worn several ways, genius!!

I bought this beautiful dress online. Sadly, I couldn't get into it. There is not enough room to get ones shoulders into the dress without another opening! There is no zip or other access. Otherwise the dress is beautifully made and the fabric is gorgeous and so are the colours. So I am still looking for a new evening dress.

I ordered the long as I normally take long in trousers and skirts, however it was far, far too long, and by the time I had got it the standard was sold out, so,I'll never know if that would have fitted. Otherwise a lovely dress, gorgeous material and very versatile, I was very disappointed.

but when I tried it on, it was obviously not designed for someone with a bust (and not even a big one!). Took it back almost immediately and very disappointed.

Seems a great dress - couldn't get it over my head!
