Merino Wool Blend Thermal Long Sleeve Top

This top is very warm. The arms were a little bit baggy at the top. I could have gone down a size but they were sold out.

Lovely and warm feels comfy to wear.

Picked this top because it had thumb holes which are great for keeping you warm. However, the sleeves are so short that the thumb holes are uncomfortable. Due to this I had to order it 2 sizes bigger. Also be careful when washing - a cool temperature is needed to avoid shrinkage.

Fits like a glove and made from a soft fabric mix including merino wool. Ideal for those snowy days and easterly winds.

I loved the colour and material but hadn’t noticed from the on-line photo that it may really be intended for running and active wear - it’s long and has a longer hem at the back. This isn’t referred to in the description, nor are the thumb holes on the sleeves. Not suitable for me as I’m only 5’3”” and wanted this really as a lovely coloured vest. Sorry to have to return it.

Love this top, brought two for trip to Winter Olympics and they were perfect in -11 degree weather viewing ski-ing all day, I wore on top of an M&S thermal vest top and then jumper on top of that & wasn’t cold at all. Love the longer sleeves that go over your hands and body is long at back which is really comfortable. It is also very soft and so if you do wear next to skin is very comfortable. Certainly recommend.

I wanted a warm vest without it being all thermal as they tend to make me shiver. This base layer having over half in merino wool attracted me to it and also ticks in your trousers and goes well down over bottom keeping your lower back and bottom warm. I’m always cold but with this on under my clothes has been a godsend this last week in the icy/snowy weather.

Unfortunately as the seams are not very deep they started coming undone after one wear so it had to go back. Have another where the seams are starting to fray although its still holding together after a few months so fingers crossed.

I love this top for running - flattering and yet comfortable. Highly recommended

The best thing about this thermal is that it contains merino wool yet it is easy to wash. Although on the long side it is good for keeping your torso warm and the thumb holes are good for keeping the arms fully covered and warm. In fact it was just what I was looking for so I will probably get another one to see me through until late springtime.
