Pure Egyptian Cotton Herringbone Shirt

The shirt is very good quality an a good fit. Total Value for money

Gave up buying M&S shirts a while back after they seemed to be sourcing "luxury" shirts made of cardboard rather than cotton. This one seems to be quite an improvement.

Exceptional fit, web selection very accurate.

The style is good and the cutting is nice. One disappointment is the material is more easy to wrinkle than expected. Delivery was speedy, just took 3 days to arrive our home in Hong Kong

I have to keep buying these shirts in fact i think i will buy elsewhere because the tips of the collars keep fraying these shirts are the perfect fit for the men in my family, but they are getting fed up with having to keep replacing them every few months. I THINK THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE BONES IN THE COLLARS ARE FITTED AND YOU ARE UNABLE TO REMOVE THEM BEFORE WASHING.AND THE LABEL RECOMMENDS THAT YOU CAN WASH IN MACHINE????? PERHAPS YOU CAN ADVICE

The shirt was generally OK, although rather thin material. However, it was ruined by red coloured cotton on the collar for the collar stiffeners. The red cotton can be seen at the edges of the collar from both the sides and below, looking like dirt marks. Poor design and / or finish.

In general OK; but lower quality than the earlier version of this shirt, I bought a year ago. The material is thinner and unlike its double cuff predecessor, is only single cuff – presumably to reduce cost. Bizarrely, the stitching on the underside of the collar, to guide the collar stiffeners, is bright red and can be seen from the side and above when wearing the shirt. Yet another example of M&S going through one of its cost reduction phases (it happens every 5 years or so). This time material, design and quality control have been affected. When will their management understand that ‘2 for 1’ and ‘buy 1 and get 1 half price’ is not a substitute for better than high street quality at a reasonable price. It’s time for my periodic John Lewis phase!

Construct of the collars is disappointing - specifically the tips. When wearing the shirt, the tips of the collars fold inwards due to the backing/reinforcing material not going all the way to the ends of the collar tips. Looks shoddy and surprising, considering this is not an issue for the other M&S shirts I've ordered. Also - does anyone NOT read the comments or speak to your customers?? The label sewn into the back of the shirt is an irritant. USE SOFTER THREAD or put the detail in a less irritating spot on the shirt. Come on M&S- this is not your first rode (as they say in the North America). I would have returned, however I live in Canada...
