Leather Lace Up Shoes

I am a big fan of M&S and shop there regularly, but these shoes are very poor quality. The main issue is with the sole. If the side/front/back of the sole gets scuffed at all, as inevitably happens through normal wear, it exposes a gray material under the black surface veneer, which is very notable and makes the shoes look old and well worn when in fact they might be a week old! I have had to resort to regularly touching up the sole with a black marker which I have never had to do with any other pair of shoes I have owned. Avoid, not up to M&S's usual quality.
