Lace Pencil Skirt

This was bought as a birthday present for my sister-in-law. She loved it, thought it was beautiful and wore it to go out for her birthday meal.

I thought this would be a smart evening skirt. Although it fitted around the hips it hung from the waist and just appeared to look very frumpy. I didn't like the fact that the attached underskirt hung below the lace at the hem. It just didn't look sophisticated enough for what I wanted.

This skirt is very well made. I bought the size 12, and is an excellent fit for me. I have a (relatively) small waist and rounded hips. The length is also good, sitting at the bottom of the knee. I am 5' 3" tall. I would have paid the full price, but as I am losing weight at the moment, was much happier to pay the sale price.

I bought this skirt in the sale, so excellent value. The waist is a bit on the large size, but comfortable and stretchy. The lace material is slightly shiny, with a finer skirting underneath to show off the lace. Its great for day wear in the office, but dressy enough to wear at night too. I would like this in a navy, grey or a mulberry colour too. With a small slit at the side, it would be perfect, but I love it anyway & might buy another.

A lovely skirt I and it looks expensive and is good for lots of occasions at this time of year. M and S could have made it even more special by designing the lace to show below the lining/organza.

Well made, elegant skirt. Length just below skirt, good quality lining. The hem makes it an elegant change of style. The fit is very good but the waist is very slightly generous cut (personally, I think makes it comfortable). The delicate material makes it useful item for events all year round. The Blackberry colour matched with M&S soft pale pink long sleeve blouse and blackberry jacket makes it a great capsule wardrobe items. With Christmas promotions it made it a great Christmas outfit.

Beautiful skirt,very good value for the price.,well made and looks expensive. I bought it in size 14 and it came up very slightly large at the waist but as I intend to wear a long top it will be fine. Versatile as it can be dressed up or down and could be worn for lots of occasions.

Very stylish, very feminine, very flattering, very sleek, fits just below the knee. Will take me lots of places :-)
