Cotton Blend Trench Coat

This piece really is such good quality for the price. Particularly during 20% periods. Really love the colour. Nicely tailored to fit.

This is an excellent quality raincoat, really good fabric with a host of details that add to its attractiveness. You don't often see a classic mac of this quality for this sort of price. They call it a "lightweight fabric" on the website but I would call it quite a heavy fabric. I imagine it would keep out the rain well, although I haven't actually put it to the test yet. The details do make it that much better than your plain classic mac but it's a pity that some of them just don't work, e.g. the so-called "throat latch". If I wanted to buckle this up I would throttle myself in the process! Neither would it be a good look to have it unbuckled and left hanging round your neck. Fortunately it is detachable so you can just throw it away. Wast of time having it... I am a fairly short 5' 3" but I often find rainmacs too short! Call me old-fashioned but I generally wear one to keep me dry which it won't if it's half way up your thigh. This one is a decent knee length on me but does of course mean it will be much shorter on people who are not as petite.

At last I thought, M&S have brought their old buying team!!! Sadly no! Fabric was good but let down by the manufacture. To be clea4 I bought 3 of these coats and tried on a 4th in store. I am size 22 63yo woman 5’7” tall, I like a slimmer look and found the size 22 too big, 20 was a neater fit but sadly I found the belt loops on all 4 set too high, strangely more so at the front. I think they have tried to centre the belt between the buttons ignoring the design of the coat in relation to the average waist position. Autograph would never have made this manufacturing error when M&S stood for quality. Losing control over these decisions has lost M&S USP, the reason why customers stayed loyal was quality at a reasonable price now you can get similar offerings from supermarkets for much less! Come on M&S re employ these staff and get your mojo back then I will start buying again!

The fabric is to thick for a spring or summer light coloured coat

This trench is very well made. It has the feel and appearance of a far more expensive garment. I like the shade of beige as it's bright not a dull beige. This raincoat will be just right for an English summer!

The colour and design of this is excellent and the fit spot on.However I found the neck would not lie flat and something was wrong with one of the pockets.Also I wanted to put the belt to hang around the back but it was not long enough.Mine might have been the exception as otherwise this was really gorgeous.Unfortunately they are now sold out so unless they produce some more I will have no way of knowing.The colour is lovely for warmer weather and navy and taupe would also look nice.I hope some more are made as I had to return mine because of the issues but would certainly purchase again if more become available

Beautiful coat , great fit and lovely quality fabric. Came to try on and fasten up and it is here the design flaw has become apparent. The belt ! The manufacturers have produced a belt for the super extra large waistline. I am a size 8-10 and the belt holes have been manufactured for an 18-20 waistline. Why is Marks and Soencer selling a coat with a major design flaw? If the belt was correct to the sizing waist, I would have kept this purchase as the coat itself has a designer quality feel. Come on Marks and Soencer sort this issue out and the sales will flyM

I really like this coat it fits perfectly and looks very smart the fabric is great quality and the style is lovely. The only fault I can find is the belt is far too short.

A well made coat, I am wearing size 14 and it is fit to me perfectly. Only didn’t undestand about the price, because online price is 99£, however the price on the card near the coat is 69£. Think I am going to ask customer service why is such price difference.

A well made coat and great colour but returned as the belt loops are set too low. This meant that it was far too bulky at the back as the fabric is too stiff to cope when you do up the belt. The info says a regular silhouette but this is a cut for someone with a low waist. The top of the arms are too big and I have big arms!
