Carpenter Hat with Thinsulate™

Only three stars overall due to full price of £22.50. I bought it on offer at £18 but still expensive imo.

Got this for my father in law as a gift and he loved it. Comfortable and fits well.

I quite liked this hat but my wife felt it was too square and made me look like an engine driver (remember casey jones?). That was with the flaps up. When the flaps were down (and this was my main reason for buying it - to keep ears warm and dry) they failed utterly to be functional, instead the ends gravitated upwards and there were no fastenings to keep them in place over the ears. So, a poor design and therefore not value for money. A pity, I always wanted to be an engine driver, toot, toot.

Good style , and very comfortable for cold damp windy days . Like the last one I bought for my son of similar style , the largest size is hardly big enough. Were it slightly bigger it would look and feel better. The largest size needs to be a true XL.

I bought the Blue Harbour waterproof jacket and although it has a hood, this hat is really good for icy mornings. The hat and jacket match perfectly and look very stylish. At last M & S are producing more fashionable cloths for men!

My husband is delighted with his new hat.
