Leather Toe Cap Monk Shoes

I have these shoes in both black and brown; they can be worn with a suit to formal functions or equally I have worn them with jeans or chinos. They are made by Joseph Cheaney and are of the finest quality; the leather becomes supple after a few wears and is easily maintained with cream and wax polish. I have other shoes made by this and other British manufactures, they have lasted me in excess of 10 years and been trouble free baring (periodic maintenance at the cobblers when required e.g. re heeling). I know they may seem expensive however cheaper shoes would need replacing more frequently. If you look after these fine shoes they will give you many years service and they look great, thumbs up from me.

These are my favourite shoes, I got married in them and everybody commented on them. Expensive, but for proper handmade British shoes of the finest quality for a very special occaision, totally worth it.

These British made leather monk strap shoes whilst expensive offer footwear that is both of the highest quality and extremely stylish. I purchased the rich brown as to my mind this colour is more versatile than the black and they go well with a range of trousers from dark jeans to all of my suits. The double monk strap makes this shoe stand out from normal lace up shoes and in my opinion it is a classic style for men of any age. Looked after well these shoes will last for many years and will only get better with age and wear. The fit for me was good and whilst a little stiff initially a fact with all premium leather shoes when new a few wears will soon soften the leather upper. My only slight niggle is the small buckle is sometimes a fiddle to fasten. I would definitely recommend this quality shoe to any one who is happy to spend a good sum.
