Two breast surgeries in three weeks and about to start chemo I had given up finding any reasonable priced bras in a 34E that were age appropriate and comfortable, and bought some seamless sports crop top bras instead in desperation. I'm 40 and didn't find any of M&S's other post surgery bras remotely attractive to look at, seemingly aimed at 70 plus and a bit too 'cross your heart' styled!! So was thrilled to see theses online until I saw, despite new (and believe me I check pretty much every few days for bras!) most of the sizes in this and the floral cream mix sold out and no sizes above a DD!
Two days later I got lucky in travelling to a city and checking in store on the off chance that any surgery bras were stocked (Swindon stores as my nearest don't stock ANY! The excuse I was given was that they needed space for all their Xmas socks / novelty pjs!! Good to know us breast cancer sufferers don't count during festive seasons!) Bristol at least carried some stock and got lucky with finding the last 34dd which I desperation I tried. Thankfully they come up big cup wise, it fitted and it's pretty much the only bra post surgery that you can get matching knickers for so double win for me... But now, even more frustrating having found something, that I can't get this or the floral mix colour way either in store or online as sold out immediately and I'm told these are limited run so no more deliveries expected!!
They are a good fit (having sized down one cup size - which is what I've deducted a star for, that and lack of stock!)) comfortable all day, but I will have to cut the labels out as scratchy. Lovely soft jersey fabric and the light padding helped hide uneven sizing between breasts. Really pleased... So if you can get these anywhere, worth trying a size down, but please ring and complain at lack of stock in the vain hope that someone in head office listens and buys more in. There are younger breast cancer sufferers that want young looking bras and matching sets. I'm not ready to give up on being feminine despite cancer/chemo's every effort to strip that away. I don't need the buyers at stores (it's not just M&S) ageing me before my time also! More of the same, more colours or even more neutral colour ways too please M&S!!!
