Beautiful well made shoes. Unfortunately far too big for my son and he said the backs were slightly hard.

Awful Marks and Spencer's Product
No, I don't recommend this
Awful product avoid at all costs, a obvious problem however marks and spencers blame excessive ware however they haven't been used much. i will never buy footwear again from Marks and Spencer's, they will rule the day they ever got rid of the St Micheals quality and started bringing in this cheap imported goods.

Im a grumpy fella after purchasing these
No, I don't recommend this
Hi, here is my honest opinion on these "quality shoes". First of all they are shocking ... absolutely shocking, that's right shocking!. I bought these for £35 of my hard earned money, £35 ! that's a disgrace. I should have gone to shoe zone and bought some smelly plimsolls . The sole has started to tare off , the laces have snapped twice. I bought these in confidence that because they were m&s they would be brilliant shoes. Oh I was wrong! I don't recommend these to anyone ,thanks and bye.

School Shoes
No, I don't recommend this
If you are reading this to decide if you should by these seemingly good value shoes. DON'T BUY THEM. I thought buying these shoes from M&S for a boy just going into high school would give him the style he was looking for and me the peace of mind that they are from M&S so they will be ok, even if they are only £35. (no other options in this style and size for boys school shoes) You would be lucky if they looked 'ok' for 4 weeks. I always trust M&S for quality but if they are still selling these shoes after all these reviews, I find that quite shocking. Not just scuffed at the toes, but completely peeled away, sole coming off and wearing right through the heel, even the laces, after no time at all. I wish I had the time and energy to take them back. If anyone at M&S reads these reviews, I will keep them for a while so if you want to see how bad they are please ask. As a previous reviewer said, disposable shoes.

No, I don't recommend this
My son's change of school meant a change from the usual trainers to formal shoes. The first pair, £35 branded from an outlet store lasted from last August, through the Glasgow winter, lunchtime football and rugby and a serious amount of walking in the rain until the following mid February. Not bad I thought. This pair were purchased to replace them. They haven't even lasted even four months. I thought they might polish up after the return to school in August and do until the autumn arrives but no chance. I wish I could post a photo to illustrate how badly they've disintegrated. The upper has cracked badly which means they're not worth having heeled or soled to keep as a spare pair. The only silver lining is that the product code is still printed on the inside of the tongue so I can make sure I don't purchase the same ones again.

poor quality shoe
No, I don't recommend this
bought these for my son to wear at his part time bar job while he is at uni, they lasted two months before the material lifted off the top of the shoe & the sole came away. Please read all the reviews these are no good if you want something to last & are definitely not any good for workwear

Poor quality
No, I don't recommend this
I know these were only £35 but a shoe is meant for wearing. These were worn by my son on a few occasions and now have cracked and the top layer has come off where the cracks are. The sole seems fine (which other people have complained about) but for a shoe that has hardly been worn it is very disappointing. If a shoe isn't made to a good enough quality to wear more than once or twice there is no point in selling them. I have now got to spend time to go and get a refund and my son will have to look for some more shoes. Not what we expect from M and S.

Poor Quality
No, I don't recommend this
Bought these shoes for everyday wear as they are described as "the perfect work shoe". The sole came away from the shoe within a couple of weeks. Took them back and the assistant told me they were designed as a "best" shoe and not an everyday shoe, but I persevered and she exchanged them. Within a couple of weeks, the same thing happened to the new pair. They are well priced, fit well and look lovely but are clearly not "the perfect work shoe".

Very disappointing
No, I don't recommend this
Bought these for my son to wear to work. After wearing no more than 10 times, the shoe began to split away from the sole. Assumed it was just a dodgy shoe and returned them to the store for a no-quibble replacement. However the same thing has happened again, this time after a week! I buy the majority of my shoes from M&S because the quality is always so good and I am very surprised and disappointed at the poor quality of these. They are certainly not made for daily wear.
