Shocker
No, I don't recommend this
Marks & Spencer luxury Egyptian cotton shirts used to be great mainstays. Then the were out of stock for a long time. Now this version has come in to replace the original, this one now made in Cambodia. Shockingly bad quality. Super thin. Sent straight back. Why ruin a successful formula?

Very Poor Quality Material and poor fit
No, I don't recommend this
Accidentally bought three of these instead of the version I've been buying for the past 5 years. Turns out M&S have relabelled my usual shirt now as "Easy Iron" as of early 2020. (Not to be confused with "Non Iron", which is different again). The "Easy Iron" version of this is excellent, by the way). THIS version however, is of appalling quality. Thin, see through, single layer cotton, with a cheap and nasty plastic-y feel. This feels like the sort of shirt you can buy at a supermarket for £4.99 for a pack of three. The fit is also 2-3 inches tighter around the chest than other M&S shirts, and far smaller than advertised. Steer clear - there are better shirts than out there for £5, let alone £45. Also - M&S - Please stock relabelling things in a confusing multitude of variations of "absence of iron". I own an Iron. I will cope with using it. Really.

Very slim fit
No, I don't recommend this
This comes up much slimmer than 'slim fit' from other suppliers, especially if you have a smaller collar size. Quality is very good and value for money good if you buy two for £60.

Fantastic Shirt
Yes, I recommend this
If you want a white shirt that looks good, fits well and washes well go to M&S. This shirt from the luxury collection is everything I have come to expect from M&S, the size is true to form and slim fit detail really make it look and feel good.

Fit nicely, only really draw back is they are a little thin so can see skin or vest underneath

Use to be a lot bigger and better
No, I don't recommend this
I've been buying M&S slim fit luxury shirts for over 10 years, and have bought over 20 of them in white, blue and pink. So here's the thing [1] The quality now isn't the same. In terms of the finish, detail and material. [2] They've got smaller. No, it's not me getting bigger! They got smaller about 4 or 5 years ago, and then again about 2 years ago. My older 16.5in neck shirts are bigger then a new 17in. So my advice is go into a big store, get a member of staff to properly measure you, and try shirts on to find out what size you are. Some of the big stores have a rack of shirts to allow you to do this - various sizes and fits. Also, don't ever buy them singly ... they are always 2 for £60. Unfortunately, even going from a 16.5 to a 17 the slim fit shirt was too small across the shoulders, so I've had to opt for Tailored fit and put up with lots of unwanted material around my waist.

SLIM FIT model seems to have shrunk!
No, I don't recommend this
I've been buying these shirts for over 5 years and bought the same size (16") and cut (Slim Fit) every time and it would seem that the SLIM FIT dimensions have got even slimmer! shorter in the sleeves (about 1/2") which when reaching pulls tight on the back.

I used to get Satorial white slim fits for husband which were really good . The quality of these ones is just not as good and creases more easily .

Almost perfect but...

I own a few of the other colours and think these are pretty close to being a perfect shirt for me. The white, however, is so thin it suffers from being rather transparent - like a large number of white shirts on the market are at this price point. I still fail to find a decent slim fit white shirt under £100 (at full price).

Inconsistent sizing
No, I don't recommend this
bought 3 shirts of the same collection, same size 15 1/2. The fit was inconsistent for each of the shirts, ranging from super tight, tight, comfortable. If you live in Canada like me, its super expensive and when the fit isn't right like in this case, it doesn't pay to send it back as the shipping is very expensive and you've paid duties already that you don't get back..... so you are better off donating this ..... very very disappointed with with M&S inconsistency

Excellent quality
Yes, I recommend this
This shirt is of excellent quality. Very comfortable and the fitting is perfect. Makes one look slimmer, yet isn't too tight. I usually wear size Small for most of my tops and this shirt in size 15' fit me really well

Slimfit tailored shirts
No, I don't recommend this
Having bought six shirts when the buy one get one half price deal was on (about a year ago now) I can say that the shirts have not lasted well. When the sleeves have been folded up in the summer due to the heat, if you are not careful you can easily put your elbow through the fabric and tear it - as others have said - the material is thin. Be very careful if folding the sleeves up. The "inside" side of the collar where most people iron the collar - the fabric is coming away at the edge which folds down - doesn't look good. The overall finish of the shirts is poor - where the stitching is. My one positive comment is that the shape of the shirt is great. For a shirt costing £40 you'd expect the overall quality to be better. Do not buy... My wife took three of them back today (21/08/2013) and received a voucher with £79 on it after making a complaint at the Coventry city centre store...

Shirt looks good and fits well, but is very thin - you can see the label through the shirt!
