A Tough but not a Heavy

I have given these a thorough testing through puddles and mud. Though they are quite tough they are not heavy clod-hoppers. And the soles seem to grip fairly well.

I am very happy with these shoes very comfortable they are a bit stiff to start with but then loosen up after a few wears. I was really gutted to hear these shoes were discontinued so I kept looking on the app to see when size 8 was back in stock and I was delighted to find them. My Dad has these shoes in size 10 twice and this is my first pair.

This is the sixth pair of these shoes that I have purchased over the past six years All but one pair are still in use, in varying degrees of dilapidation! They are the most comfortable and practical out-door dog walking shoes I have ever owned. Long may M&S continue to make them!

Fallen Apart in 8 months
No, I don't recommend this
I have always brought my shoes from M&S and sadly these shoes have literally fallen apart in 8 months. the inner heel has just disintegrated and on one side a big hole and the inner sole has had to be replaced with a liner as it was slipping and rucking up. i wasn't too happy with the quality when i picked up the first pair, which turned out to be too different colours. There was glue around the sole and to be honest they looked cheap and i know find i am having to buy some new shoes, as they look appalling.

Sent for my usual size - 7 1/2 - and they were far too small. I tried size 8 on in store and they fit OK but the tongue was inserted out of line and would have been uncomfortable when worn.

Leather lace up shoes for my husband

He liked the style, waterproof and comfortable. Also as he needs to have the left shoe heel raised up,( his left leg is slightly shorter than his right due to an accident many years ago, ) these shoes could be altered. Unfortunately these days the way shoes’ soles and heels are moulded it is impossible to alter them.

These M&S shoes are always excellent - comfortable and long-lasting. However the same can not be said for the poor shoe laces which deteriorate within weeks on all M&S shoes I've purchased, and they usually break/snap within 6-8 weeks (forcing me to buy new more durable thicker laces). If any improvements could be made it would be to the durability of the laces which do not match the quality of the shoes themselves!!

I wanted some walking shoes that would give support on uneven ground, be not too heavy (flight weight restrictions) and not look obviously like a sports shoe, which can be lighter but often unattractive looking. These fit the bill.

Just purchased a pair of these shoes online only to discover that they looked physically different from each other. The leather colour and grain pattern of each shoe was vastly different but more importantly one shoe stands at least half an inch taller than the other! I'll take them to my local store and get them exchanged.
