Returned this mat . Very prickly underfoot - not sure if the non slip base was affecting the feel when stood on. The mat felt okay to touch by hand and I washed the item a couple of times but still prickly when stood on. M &S kindly accepted this and provided a refund . It was a shame as this matched the towels I had purchased - which are great !
