Leather Lace Up Shoes

These are just what my husband was looking for. Shoes which are smart and yet still suitable for casual wear. Excellent quality and value for money.

My husband has been wearing these every day for a couple of weeks and is very pleased with them. They are comfortable and seem to be very nice quality with substantial tread on the soles.

these shoes are ideal because they are a broad fitting and thus very comfortable to wear.Sadly it appears that this model is being replaced.From experience I know that it will take quite a while to find shoes comparable to these.

I looked online first, as my nearest M&S is about 10 miles away. I liked some very similar for £59, but they have none in my size, and next day were discontinued, so I went to the shop hoping they may have some left in stock. Big store anyway, in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. I searched all the shoe section, and found these, almost identical, for just £45, but they had none my size - I have size 7 and a half feet - so sometimes size 7 fits, and sometimes size 8 fits - depends on the makers I think. My Kickers (cost £100) are size 8, and fit great, but my Timberland (£140) boots are size 7, just nice. These (£45) are a bit less tight on my feet, but they do fit OK, and are very comfortable, and they do look very well made too. I will see how they fare after walking miles around Amsterdam in 2 weeks time. I walk all day long in Holland, so many miles covered. I am sure they will do well, and I will buy more if they survive my long time walking test!

Beware - These shoes are very narrow fitting - too narrow - compared to previous similar shoes from Marks & Spencer. Seems the fit has been compromised to achieve the price. Consequently they were swiftly returned for a refund.

I'm on my 4th pair of these in 5 years, so don't expect them to last more than a year. The leather is a little thin and the soles are not as chunky as you might think. Don't think of them as shoes for the snow as they're not that warm. However I do keep buying them. They are quite wide in their fit and are very comfortable from new. Even once you've worn them for a while they will shine up nicely. And they come in nice large, wide sizes! Even as a size 12 it's quite hard to find shoes to fit. One thing, they've changed from double stitching the heels to single stitching them, so the leather does stick out a bit. I don't know if this will mean the heel gives a bit earlier.

Bought a brown pair in store and liked them so much I ordered a black pair online. Very comfortable and appear well made. To be recommended as a comfortable, practical office work shoe.

I had been looking for another pair of these shoes for about three years having bought two pairs about 5 years ago and finally wearing them out. Having wide feet the modern style of narrow-toed shoes just don't suit. These shoes are hard-wearing, multi-use and very comfortable. The down-side is that I saw them in M&S about a month ago for £35 a pair (only one pair and the wrong colour) but by the time I had told a friend about them (who also wanted them) and he had also decided to get two pairs, the price had gone up to £45. We paid £45 for each of our four pairs, yet when they arrived they still had £35 price labels on, even though the ones in-store were now saying £45.
