Looked for 5 years and 3 continents for the perfect teapot. Found it, with this 4-cup teapot that has a spout higher than the brim, a 'catch' to keep the lid from falling off when pouring, and a flared rim that would hold my tea cozy in place.
Free shipping to the US meant I didn't have to lug it through airports. What a find!

Lovely shape and good pourer, however, there are no holes on this inside of the spout so the tea bags get stuck and prevent flow. My previous maxim teapot was a different shape and had the holes in the spout. That one was much better

This teapot is such a disappointment I'm returning it for exchange.
I'm sure we all know you can't tell how a teapot pours till you get it home.
First of all it is a well manufactured piece of porcelain and the spout pours well without dripping. That's it for the pros, now the cons.
The handle is a total design disaster. It's too narrow in depth, poorly shaped and positioned so the grip gives you the wrong leverage point meaning your hand slips down towards the base of the pot, as it's quite a large pot it's heavy when full. This could have been simply avoided by placing a small steadying handle above the spout. This would not however solve the problem of the handle overheating if you use a cosy as I do.
Don't these people actually try their designs out before going into full production?
I suggest you look for something else as it's not particularly cheap either.

Lovely teapot, I expected it to be bigger as per previous reviews, but I think its a nice size and will make 4 mugs of tea easily!!!!
