Look great, very comfortable (and I've got difficult feet), very reasonable price. They do tend to scuff easily, so I've bought a second pair for 'best'.

Pretty shoe terrible to wear

I bought these while on holidays in London. My feet were killing me from all the walking, so I popped in and bought them as I was sick of wearing my trainers everywhere. Lengthwise they fit me perfectly but after half an hour of SITTING with them on in a restaurant, I had to take them off. I hobbled in them to the tube, went to a theatre and on the way back I honestly COULD NOT stand the pain across the top of the shoe from the fabric edging. I took them off, threw them in the nearest bin and we walked to.the picadilly tube, went to Earls court, then walked to the hotel in my tights and nothing more. Terrible useless shoes, but the tights which were ALSO M&S were absolutely amazing. Not one hole to be found after all of that walking shoeless. I immediately bought about 10 more multipacks.

Comfortable and cute

The leather is soft, the fit is great and I'm really happy with my purchase. I walk everywhere, so comfort is really really important, so I was a bit concerned about buying these having read the reviews, but so far so good. I got them in a promotion of buy one, get one half price so I feel I've got a bargain! The gold colour is subtle and doesn't look too much during the day, although I plan to wear dressed up for evenings out as well.

I bought a black pair at the beginning of summer and wore them almost daily with lots of walking around town in them too. They never needed 'breaking in' and have always been extremely comfortable. I am about to buy a second pair in the pewter colour and hope they fit in the same way. Would have bought more in other colours (red/brown/navy?) Previous comments complain of the fabric edging but this is a traditional style of ballet pumps.

Black leather pumps ~ Bad Design

Bought these with a view to wearing them for work as I spend 7-8 hours a day on my feet. I have always bought this type of pump from M&S.....however this particular pair has left me with very sore feet across the front of my foot where like other customers have pointed out is made of a fabric and not leather. I love the design the fact that they are flat and easy to slip on but there is NO give at all and I now have two very sore feet....NOT HAPPY Cant return as I have worn them ~ feel let down by M&S on this occasion.

Bad design

I bought these gorgeous shoes over a month ago. I bought my normal size (the next size up slipped on & off) and have only worn them around the house so far, trying to 'break them in'. Unfortunately due to the design, where it's a material rather than leather trim around the foot part, I'm finding it really tough going. The material just doesn't 'give' at all and I'm left with deep ridge marks on my foot. I'm really disappointed as I'd hoped to wear them on my holiday next month. I really don't know what to do, whether to persevere or take them back. Why on earth did the designers put a 'non giving' trim around this shoe. Apart from that the leather is lovely and the colour is great, will go with most things.

I ordered this item on line and found that one shoe was badly made and so the pair had to be returned. However, the M&S return system was faultless. I was just unfortunate.

Haven't worn these out yet but so far they seem a good fit. I've been looking for shoes to wear with jeans or cropped trousers for ages and have looked at these several times but hadn't tried them as I thought they looked a bit 'old style' but they look better than I thought they would. I don't like them so flat and would prefer a bit more heel but they seem ok. True to size and nice colour.

These are lovely - I wanted something flat and comfy to wear that still looks classy, and these fit the bill. The pewter colour is not too 'blingy' and will go with lots of things (skirts, trousers, jeans). Great for holiday too as they are very light and easy to pack.

Too big. I am a size 5 in shoes, but these just slip off. Disappointed. Got these in pewter, and thought they would be a good addition for the Spring. May try to get some thick insoles to see if that helps.
