They are comfortable enough, but when I took them off at the end of the day I found that large amounts of the material had flaked away around my toes. This makes them unwearable and, I would think, unwashable in a washing machine as as the material will flake away and block up the drain. Do not understand why this should be as they are supposed to be 88% cotton, which should not flake. A waste of £12. Avoid.

Lovely soft, comfortable and warm winter weight socks. I always find that socks tend to shrink a bit when washed and dried, so advise buying a size up to allow for shrinkage.

Always buy these socks in whatever version of colour design they come out in. Will last a long time and they must be good as another version is always ready to buy so they are a M&S staple.

The socks are ok. I’ve only worn one pair but so far so good. The cushioning on the heel isn’t a whole lot but it’s ok

I usually but a sports sock for the cushioned sole. Saw these and thought I would give them a go. They are lovely hence the 5 stars and I can’t fault them. What I would say they are a normal thin sock with a cushioned sole which really isn’t what I wear as I need the thicker aground sock for my work boots. So based on my personal preference they are not quite what I like but in terms of what they are I can’t say anything bad about them. If you want a normal smart comfy sock with a cushioned sole then buy these as they will be ideal.

These are well made socks and feel very comfortable to wear. The cushion effect is pleasant to feel and is reassuring as I have been through the heel of the cheaper 7 pack of cotton socks. I am a size 12 and decided to buy the 12.5-14.5 size based on earlier reviews I had read. This was the right decision: the socks are a perfect fit, even though in theory they are half size too big.

Excellent, have bought them before just really comfortable as the sole of the sock is thicker than normal which makes them so comfortable. Will certainly buy them again. M&S please don't stop doing these socks or alter them they are perfect as they are.

I always buy M&S socks for my husband - but thought I would buy him some of these for a change. He loves them and said they are so cosy and comfortable.

Yeah, what a great idea, my husband always wears black socks but, as he gets lots of wear from his socks, over the years he has accumulated a drawer full of black socks of varying age and variation of black. As a result I spend a lot of time every wash day lining up black socks trying to ensure they are the right black variant and age. These socks have different coloured heels and toes so matching up pairs is that much easier, saving a great deal of time and effort while also ensuring that my husband has matching socks every day.
