Padded Running Jacket

Being 5 ft. and a size 8, there is so much wrong with this jacket for me. The sleeves are too long, the material for the arms is too cool and the waist too low that I was going to return it but it looks so chic that I decided to keep it and work round it's problems. A petite size would have been perfect. Luckily I will only be wearing it to my pilates class in the warmer weather and have a very good dressmaker to solve my problems so what I saved by buying this when there was a reduction of the price will go to her.

Perfect to wear over workout clothes to & from gym. Will also use it when out walking once weather gets a little warmer! Love the style and fit. Bought in the sale so fantastic price but would still recommend even at a higher price. Very stylish, well done M&S

Great fit and smart look for the gym

Like other readers I found this jacket too small when buying my usual size. Unfortunately all other sizes sold out so have returned it to shop.

Lovely stylish fitted jacket. I am a keen runner but wouldn't personally wear it to run in as it's far too nice and also padded so way too warm when you build up a sweat. However i love this jacket teamed up with black leggings to wear to the gym or swimming before my workout. It also covers your bum!!! Over priced but I got it on a 20% off weekend.

This is a lovely, warm and stylish running jacket. It is very small made and I probably should have sized-up, but hoping that I'll be losing weight soon with all the running I'll be doing :-) Think it's expensive at full price but I was lucky enough to get 20% off at one of the recent M&S promotions.

Lovely top, nice and light for running in, seems quite breathable. Recommended for keen runners or have a goes too

This is an unusual jacket in the design. It looks good in the close-fitting shape. I wanted a shaped zip-up jacket without a hood and this was the only one I could find! The hood detaches easily. I could do without the thumb-holes, but they are not too noticeable. If I didn't mind a hood or quite a bit of sewing, I would have bought a much cheaper cotton hoodie which are a much better shape than all the fleeces.

Was looking for a jacket to throw on for my brisk neighbourhood walks. This is labelled as a jacket for running so I wasn't sure it would be warm enough. I read the other reviews and quite a few said they use it for walking the dog etc so took that as a good sign. Unfortunately it was way too thin and lacking warmth for me. It's nice material and pricey - although a trip to any fitness store may have you go into shock at high prices so it seemed more reasonable in that context. The padding is minimal and needs to have a snug fit to be of any use. I'd ordered larger for comfort 12 and 14 but they just didn't work - I tried a 10 on in store which fit close to the body and would have been my size I suppose. I had wanted something bigger with relaxing room, but oh well. The grey material is the same as those workout shirts so given I was wanting something to wear over my long sleeved workout shirts it wasn't cutting it for me. Imagine it'd be great for a run tho but can't run due to injury now so not for me. Incidently, when returning in store I spotted the same jacket in navy which had an almost fleece-like lining for the sleeves and sides. Same price. Tried on in a 10 and felt much warmer, so bought that instead. So this jacket may be available in slightly different versions.

Bought this for a lightweight but warm jacket to wear to the gym. It’s very warm and easy to wear, the size is great I bought my usual size and it fits fine. It is very comfortable and moves with you as it is stretchy . Could do with different colours so I could buy another Love it
