what a loverly rum, the flavours in it are wonderful. will be buying again.

I enjoyed this rum for the price point. Would buy again.

The other reviewer was somewhat harsh. This is a Jamaican rum, and as such it has that edge alongside its complexity which some may not appreciate . The drawback for me is why Ferrand, and I’m guessing that it’s this outfit which are supplying this rum to M&S, feel it is necessary to dose this rum with added sugar. This gives it a confected feel which does not sit well with a Jamaican rum. I’m not sure what this would taste like if it were aged and blended solely in Jamaica, like say Appleton’s Rare. It’s a pity because someone has taken the effort to import, recask and further age this rum only to mask the effort behind a veil of bland sucrose. Why?

I can never understand when a spirit this poor is put out without someone stopping it first. It doesn't taste aged. It doesn't have suitable flavours. It tastes most like a rum flavoured vodka. The alcohol is really evident in the flavour. And the burn is what I would associate with a cheap spirit. I would go with a branded un-aged rum before choosing this.
