Not as good material as the last pair
No, I don't recommend this
Had a pair of these chinos last year. The new ones are far inferior to them. Material much thinner. When they arrived they were just bundled up, not folded, and the legs turned up as though some one had tried them on.

I'm a big fan of the Ultimate slim chino's from M&S. I've been waiting for this new generation of them to be released so I can top up my wardrobe. I gave 4 rather than the 5 stars of the last version for the following reasons; 1. Reduced the fastening from 2 separate buttons to 1. 2. I'm not convinced by the new colour range. The beige and grey are a bit too pastel for me. That said. I'm still a fan and have 2 pairs that will see me nicely through the next few months. 1.

Looking at the photos they didn’t look like drain pipes (wider bottoms), however they were so narrow at the bottom my husband struggled to get his foot through! The tops (thigh area) were massive he could have fit 4 legs (if he had 4 legs) into one trouser leg!!! He’s 6ft1 slim build, he suits slim fittings, so thought these looked great. But from the waist down they were massive until you got to the knees. I ordered on line. Had to take them back. Pictures on line not good in my opinion.

Good but miss the old colour
Still really good design, nice fabric and cut well, just miss the previous ‘neutral’ colour that was slightly darker than the current ‘sand’ shade in the refreshed range.
