Editor’s Pick: the insiders’ must-haves

On trend, versatile and easy to wear, slim-fit, dusky pink chinos will add impact to your wardrobe this spring, says M&S menswear editor, Daniel Copley.

While menswear collections have indulged a love of coloured trousers over the past few years – think preppy chinos in bright hues – pink has remained somewhat in the shade. That’s all set to change this season, thanks to designers such as Tom Ford, Paul Smith and Lanvin’s Alber Elbaz, who all sent out strong hits of the colour on the catwalks. These dusky pink chinos are the ideal way to get in on the trend. They’re surprisingly versatile and sit well with white tops, navy blazers and knits, and even other pinks.

“A breakout colour at the spring/summer
2014 catwalk shows, PINK takes centre
stage this season, and low-key chinos are a
great way to embrace the look.”
