Lovely pure-fruited red, dense and concentrated, powerfully structured right to the finish. Expect blackcurrant and berries, blueberry and smokey violet notes with a twist of oaky, spicy barrel-tannins at the edge. This is full-bodied red Rioja with great gravitas and presence, and a real emphasis on powerful fruit.
About this bottle: Thirty-two year old winemaker Borja Ripa is blazing a trail in Rioja with his own brand of powerful red wines. Borja sources the fruit for this young Rioja from the finest Rioja Baja vineyards, macerates the wine on its grape skins for 21 days, and matures it in American and French oak barrels for 18 months. Its wonderful intensity of fruit is testament to the age of vines chosen, some of which are over 50 years old.

Young, fresh, juicy red wine full of ripe strawberry and cherry flavours. A touch of sweet spice and notes of vanilla and coconut on the finish makes this wine ultra-enticing. A light smothering of soft tannins ensures a long lasting finish.
About this bottle: Rodrigo Espinosa studied oenology in Chile and gained his winemaking experience in America before he arrived in Spain and fell in love with Rioja. His travels have led him to bring a modern touch to this Spanish classic: he creates a style that’s instantly approachable, combining a dash of American oak sweetness with the deep flavours of Tempranillo.
