Pure Silk Lace Trim Camisole Top

I think I must have got the last size 12, black top in London. I thought it was too expensive for something so slight, but having received it and tried it on, I changed my opinion. It’s very nice and silky and the lace is delicate. But the thing I most like about it is that the fine lace covers my mastectomy above the scar line. I can now wear various lower cut tops without difficulty knowing that only the lace shows when the bra is not flat against the chest wall. I’m sure this wasn’t a consideration of the designers, but it works a treat for me.

This is a lovely camisole in a fabulous christmas red. I am a 10/12 and ordered both sizes. I preferred the 12 which hung better on me. The shoulders are not too wide so suggest if between sizes to go up. I wanted it to wear under a black velvet coat but when I put them on together it looked like jim-jams so have unfortunately returned them both.

Lovely material and fit but I didn’t keep it because the seam on the lace insert in the front reminded me of cleavage! Personal opinion and otherwise lovely top if a bit expensive.

Lovely top bought in size 12. I always wear size 12 tops in the Autograph range but found once again that in the camisole design they are always too tight across the bust. Size 14 too big and like a tent by the time it falls to my waist. Unfortunately I had to return it.

Silky, smooth and perfect under a v neck jumper. I like the style and I have seen similar elsewhere at twice the price.

Ordered the 10, it fitted well, however the bust darting was very strange. The darts were small but ended in a point spoiling the effect. Nice bright red, soft silk but not too delicate, would have looked great under my jacket.

After frustration with the fit and style failings of the non lace version earlier this year I was apprehensive about buying this lace version online. Thankfully the design has had a complete overall. The fit is truer to size, no gaping, thanks to the innovation of bust darts to accommodate a bosom! The material is slightly heavier and the lace panels act like interfacing, giving the neckline structure as well as style. Thanks Marks! Yet to wear and wash, saving for a hot weather holiday. A classic for year round wear. How about a button through short sleeve silk blouse in plain black for the collection? I am sure it could be a winner!

This is so much nicer than the photo suggests but you need to buy a size down. I'm a 36C bra, usually a 12 but I had to exchange for a 10, which fits me well and is not tight at all. A real bonus with this cami is the lovely heavy weight silk fabric which is not too flimsy and means it gives some warmth and you could let the cami show under a cardi or jacket without fear of embarrassment! The cut is perfect; skimls the body and is neat without being tight. The colour is also much nicer than the photo suggests- rich but soft red. I was a bit worried it may look garish but not at all. It looks classy. I haven't tried to wash yet but as long as it washes well i expect to get lots of wear.
